    Wow. Ward has CLEANED OUT in 2016. He fought 2 nobodies for 2 million a piece. Now he's getting a huge purse for a fight that won't break 300k

    Good for Andre. A 9 million dollar year is pretty amazing for a boxer in 2016. Only a few fighters made more than him this year.

    Great news he deserves for this fight not sure about the other scrubs but him and Kovalev deserves big pay days for taking a big risk

    Good for him. It's a real shame the Kovalev fight hasn't picked up more hype with casual fans. It says a lot about the state of boxing that it isn't being built as a much, much bigger event.

    ward making up for inactivity.....hes smart....he knew hbo wanted this fight so he made them pay him 2 mil for a sparring session with brand.....

    Ward has everything resting on this fight. If he loses especially by KO he's done. He's not much of a draw nor does he have a fan friendly style. Wards draw is his unbeatability.

    Kovalev win or lose will still be a dangerous opponent. Kovs draw is the beatings he puts on

    Good for him. Seems like every month or so we hear about another fighter that dies trying to eke out a living in this sport...I'll never begrudge those who cash in while they can. Tough sport to make a living in..

    Warc better hope Trump gets rid of Obamacare very quickly, from what I'm reading $5 million isn't getting you a lot of health care these days and he is going to need it starting from next month :risas3:

    Yea its quite disappointing casuals aren't really getting on the Kovalev vs. Ward bandwaggon. Hopefully the winner will get more mainstream momentum.
