Golovkin's jab is the key. He would pepper Ward with it and win either by late KO or by a wide decision. People underrate Golovkin here. He only gets hit because he goes for knockouts. When He is focused on simply boxing he could cruise to a wide decision victory.
if he got what was seen as a bad stoppage by the slight majority vs a limmited david lemiuex then I doubt he stops ward
Sure.....a guy who has not lost a single fight for 18 years will struggle to get past a good jab(!) Keep them coming guys.
Very true Ward has an excellent jab with great variety. That said Abraham, yes Abraham, had quite a bit of success in the first 4 rounds finding a home for his jab against Ward.
The thing is, Ward is not Floyd or Rigo. They don't get hit. Ward does, like a normal boxer. Smith hit him few times, Boone knocked him down. It's not that he is like a mastermind that avoids getting punched. Both, GGG and Kovalev easily beat him. He will feel their power and end like all of their opponents.
I like GGG, but lets wait until he beats Quillin and Lee before talking about a Ward fight. lemieux had no footwork, head movement, or hand speed. Ward has all those attributes in spades.
His jab isn't particularly fast, and he was facing an opponent with mediocre skills and an underdeveloped ring IQ. How anyone can arrive at this conclusion is baffling. Please do share some of whatever it is you're smoking. :smoke
Golovkin doesn't want that fight, he would get schooled badly. It will take more than jab peppering to throw off an elite technical fighter like Ward.
Maybe 6 years ago before going under the knife You believe your son of God walks on water and has eternal life?
People have a tendency to forget AA's success early on because he was schooled for the remaining 9 rounds. I was excited for a few minutes and thought AA had a chance to pull it off. But unlike AA GGG isn't going to abandon it, the moment he gets frustrated.
