With Ward's questionable chin, he can't stay inside with Golovkin. His only option is to use his speed: hit and immediately clinch.

For god's sake, Golovkin is an Olympic silver medalist and amateur world champ with only 5 losses in 300+ fights. He fought bigger men like Butte and Andre Dirrell. He can fight differently when needed. His power will still be the major factor against Ward, but he will fight differently.

Well Ward has beaten Froch, Kessler, Abraham, Dawson, Bika, Miranda, and Rodriguez, so saying Ward has nothing for Golovkin is a bit of a stretch.

    50/50 fight

My eyes tell me that GGG has the kryptonite for ward, because of his excellent footwork, constant pressure, and hugely accurate power.

But a I know in the back of my mind that Andre is no loser, and he might have tricks that we haven't seen before.

It would come down to who could out-wit and adjust the best come fight night.

You're aware that he's already beaten Abraham and Kessler, right?

What about a large delicious box of performance enhancing drugs taken without worry of being caught in Jokeland.

If you look at Abraham punching technique its easy to see why his power did not move with him. Because he doesnt have any.

Murray tried the Ward approach early, and is a very big MW. Golovkin adjusted to the duck, rush and clinch tactics pretty quick.

Ward is very good and might find a way to win. But it wont be via inside work like so many say. Those people just have no idea what they are looking at.

The clinch won't work, and I don't see Andre having the foot speed to win a game of 'tag, your it'. But who knows what other tricks Andre has?

Direll might have the movement, but he plays, 'tag, oh no, i must be dead!'.

Ward has quick hands and very fast upper body movement. In addition to good ring IQ, and good fluid transition between ranges.

Dirrell like you say just has movement. He has a very limited arzenal. I still dont fathom how some people think someone who's only world level ability is running can hope to have any success.

    This.

GGG adapts to his oponnent's strenghts and weaknesses. See how the Stevens and Murray fights went differently.

Stevens could punch, but was short: GGG kept his distances and a high guard at all times, then broke him down from the outside.

Murray had a good high guard, protecting his chin and body efficiently, but no punch. GGG closed the distance and broke him down from close range.

GGG will find Ward's weak spot and exploit it.

Ward will run like the rest of them, you better believe it.

Great fight that should occur once GGG is over with MW and Ward gets some fights in to build up the Fight , that way :
GGG is the undisputed MW king (which as you can see in the forums probably due to ring rankings ?, some ppl think he is not)
Ward gets to fight tuneups so no "he only beat him because ward was out for a long time" , also get some Casuals to recognize Ward who vanished from the boxing world for a while.

Once GGG goes up he will stay there for a while , so it better be worth his time to do it and be at a disadvantage size wise.
