Some of this I agree with, the part about ward being mentally strong, he's one of the strongest mentally, that's correct.

His talents don't come close to how mentally strong he is, that's his greatest attribute. That's what will keep him competing through mid fight.

He'll be clearly getting handled terribly, but still wrestling and fouling about. 2 kd's minimum prior to being stopped. Unless kovalev lays another egg and has nothing left going mid fight.

To me, kovalev needs to treat ward exactly like Boone, it'll go few rounds more but should be as competitive, or as little competitive

 

Most people believe Kovalev won the first fight, as I do. I don't think the mind games are having much of an effect on either fighter. I predict Ward wins the rematch on the scorecards and majority public opinion this time.

Kovalev is just tired telling everybody what he is going to do because he knows he has to back it up, and that backing it up is the only thing that counts.

 

Kovalev won every round up to the 6th and also had a knockdown after the 6th the rounds was close but I gave sergey 3 more rounds after that so I had him winning 9-3 it was a robbery and you know it mvc

 

Ward has a hell of a lot of haters, They want to see kovalev destroy him, bring the pain, knock him out while talking trash while hes ko'd on the floor, Its this bully mentality that can never put its ego aside to give respect when its due. Even if ward wins, these are the people that won't give him respect.

Its a mentality that they simply can't change even though they know that its wrong they know ward should get respect for beating Kovalev but they won't do it no matter how he wins because they are consumed by hatred.

Kovalev takes this bully mentality into the ring. He didn't give ward any props, he made nothing but excuses, it was the judges, he over trained, he overrated ward, he was gassed after 5 rounds etc. He hasn't accepted the fact that ward fought very well and thus his ego has not allowed him to make any adjustments.

Ward has given kovelev props, has stated he himself needs to be better and he expects a better kovalev etc, This is how fighters evolve, they learn from every fight, This is why some fighters take a loss and they are never the same, they make excuses while others come back even better. They put their ego aside and own up to their mistakes and make improvements and adjustments.
