Ward has to take the fight to Kovalev to beat him.

Who is the boxer here? Ward is much faster than Kovalev.

I expect this tactic from Ward but not the way you put it

Will try to discourage and disrupt Kovalev with nicely timed offensive moves which will keep Kovalev off him

then some rounds he will remain defensive and get the better of him from the outside

other rounds Kovalev will just outright win on the outside and Ward will just give them to him.

One of them fights where Ward will be wishing he had that one special PHYSICAL attribute such as speed or power with his @rsenal...he relies very much on his skill and ability...but missing that physical edge could cost him this fight.

ward can't hurt kovalev.. he has just enough power to get kovalev ****ed off and that's it. then kovalev steps through him.

Realistically, Kovalevs biggest weakness in my opinion would be his exploitable balance and Ward has the skill set to expose it. I see this fight as being real close with the referee playing a large part. Kovalev could go down one or two times and it would be up to the ref to decide if they were slips or knockdowns. I'm learning towards Kovalev but don't rule out a controversial decision that goes either way.

I definitely believe Ward can win this fight, but the smart money is on Krusher.

This is one of the best fights that could have been made, so... props to both.

Mike Tyson was perhaps the fastest heavyweight that ever lived. Does this mean he could beat any of the greats on the outside?

Kovalev is better equipped to fight on the outside than Ward. Look what Kovalev did to Hopkins who is a better pure boxer than Ward.

Ward needs to use explosiveness and actually FIGHT Kovalev.

Like Hopkins (look at his face when he was getting up from the knockdown) once Ward feels that savage power he isn't going to engage. Look for Ward to do a lot of one punch then come in for a headbutt or to clinch.

It's going to be a very tough fight for Andre. I think he has to stay in perpetual motion and show Kovalev some angles to get him possibly off his game.

It's a great fight, that's for sure. The best SMW of the last 10 years vs the best LHW of the last 10. I just hope both men are able to get past their next fight and are able to meetup in November without any injury issues.

Ward will crowd on the ropes and have his head in Kovalev's chin. It will be ugly. Repeat of Ward vs Kessler/Froch. Pick em fight.

Prove that Mayweather's T/E ratios were not that of an elderly man that was so old, that he died 257 years ago.
