Ward: I'll fight Froch in the UK

I dont really like Froch

But for me its pretty simple

He wants a PPV Fight in Vegas ( Ward aint PPV )

Or he wants to fight in his hometown football stadium, or Wembley stadium ( ward v Froch wouldnt sell out Wembley )

At this stage of his career where he is considering retirement he only want to fight in one of those dream venues

Stoke , there is never a reason to have World Title fight in Stoke !

Tyson was not considered "back" until he demolished Bruno.

Vitali was not considered "back" until he shut out Peter.

If you recall, both men had huge question marks in their returns. Nobody was saying they were without question still the best in the world while being out of the ring for years. There were considerable doubts. If Tyson and Peter walked out there and got mauled, anyone who assumed they were still elite would have been wrong.

And for every Vitali or Tyson, there was a Jimmy Bivins who just couldn't return to form after a lay off.

Because Ward has not climbed back into the ring and beat Froch yet. Think of how bizarre you are being. Lets say the rumors are true and Ward is in rough physical shape, his arm is a mess, he comes into the ring, looks like a turd, and gets knocked out by Froch. How stupid would it be to say Froch beat an elite fighter.

You can have an assumption that Ward is still elite. But there is no way of knowing he is still elite until he....actually fights. I'm not sure why this concept is so hard to grasp regarding this particular fighter.

 

There is no way of knowing he's better than any of them at the moment. He hasn't been in the ring with a class SMW in 5 god damn years. Do you realize how long ago that was?

Your not going to continue to be recognized as an elite fighter for stuff you did years ago, you have to keep proving it.

 

(Smh) Both Tyson and Vittles came back with question marks but were both thought of as elite. If not why was Tyson given two jokes and a shot at a title and Vits granted an immediate shot? And please dont give me the emeritus BS in Vittles case. And of course its an assumption that Ward is still elite, but many think he still is. Im asking YOUR opinion. Do you think he is still elite or not?

 

Tyson's rating was not restored until he won at least one comeback fight in impressive fashion. That's one more than Ward at the moment. And Mathis jr was no joke.

Vitali was given the immediate shot because of the emeritus right. It's not BS. Vitali still had to beat Peter to win the title and regain a ranking. He wasn't just given the title and top HW standing for announcing his comeback. He still had to get in the ring and fight somebody. The emeritus is the benefit of the doubt he could still be elite, its a chance to prove it, not a decleration of it. The WBA is giving Ward that chance by pushing for the Froch rematch.

I've answered your question. There's no way of knowing he is still elite after the lay off, injuries, rumored weight problems..etc.. I'm not going to commit to a shot in the dark no matter how many times you ask me. Why not be sensible and wait to see how Ward does..if he can ever get back in the ring before making a call. How can you pass judgement on a fighter who hasn't fought and we haven't seen anything concrete out of in 2 years? Makes no sense, I shake my head.

Who said Mathis jr was a joke? He was a fringe contender, not someone according to you to vault a fighter back to elite level. But the fact remains Tyson was seen again as an elite fighter. As far as Vits goes...quit defending that BS. He had done nothing to deserve an immediate title shot yet was given it because he was seen as an elite fighter amongst a weak crop. Ward beat a Ring top 10 rated fighter less than a year and a half ago but you dont want to give him the same acknowledgement. You keep saying its been five years since he beat an elite fighter. Im a Froch fan, but when was the last time he beat an elite fighter using your logic? And who is passing judgement on Ward being elite still? Im going by educated opinion, something you're obviously scared to do.

What acknowledgement do I give Vitali and Tyson that I don't give Ward? Tyson/Mathis JR and Vitali/Peter happened after those men's lay offs, Ward/Rodriguez happened before his 15 month and on going lay off. Clown.

Who is ackowledging a fight that hasnt happened? Im acknowledging a fighter with the educated opinion that he is still an elite super middleweight. So let me rephrase again since you're to dim witted to understand. If Ward shows the same form he did less than 18 months ago, in your opinion, is he still elite? Your response will undoubtedly be that we wont be able to tell until he fights. That of course is a bit silly since you can do that with any fighter after their last fight.
