As much as I would like to see Froch get beat, an American would be a plus, I don't see Ward doing it. You go on and on about Ward's skills, but Froch comes to FIGHT, not score points on the judges cards. Ward might win the boxing match but Froch will win the fight.

    agreed!

froch is a fighter first and foremost, almost a throwback these days!.that is why the cobra will be undisputed ruler of this division soon.
his biggest test will be pavlik though, they are very similar and fantastically exciting.
a mouthwatering wait for a potentially legendary scrap?

I wouldn't go that far with Froch myself. :D Bute is a decent boxer with some pop, something Ward didn't show last night. It will be tough for Froch to get past him since Froch prefers the slower pace, unlike Andrade's constant pressure. I think Bute and Kessler both beat Froch, but not Ward. I've been wrong before though.

Pavlik has the diet down now and it isn't as hard for him to make weight as it used to be. I think they said he will probably have another 3 or 4 fights at MW.

yep i know i'm slightly biased froch fan, can't help it.i have been at most of his early fights and have seen him grow into todays fighter,a great progression for a man with a dangerously low hand issue.it's a british underdog thing!
i think kessler is a good fighter, but only if you try take the fight to him all night!.i believe that froch will thrive in this fight by taking the oppurtunity to counter kessler when his frustration gets the better of him.froch will always be there to take you out as soon as you drop a second of concentration, which i have seen kessler do on a number of times.
as for bute, to be honest i havn't seen enough of him to cast judgement, but from what i have seen i still back froch all the way.
anyway ,will be exciting finding out eh?

I'm like you but the exact contrary. I'm a Bute fan since his debuts and can be biased myself. I hope that Bute-Froch happens because it would be an interesting fight to watch, with a lot of action. It would answer a lot of questions also and put pressure on all the other guys in the division to fight the other big names. I think Ward's team will try to wait a bit before throwing him against the more experienced fighters, so Froch-Bute is the best match to happen now.

if allowed to hold without punishment as ward was allowed to do by the ref v miranda then ward would be able to shut a lot of frochs work down and win on points IMO

Taylor never outskilled Hopkins...that's a mute point. Anyway, a gold is much better then a bronze.

froch fights like a man...:yepnot pussyfooting around with a points win over miranda...any elite level sm would knock miranda out as has been proven more than once.

We can debate it all day only to have the fighters make us look silly at the end. I was within seconds of being right about the Taylor fight though. That said, I would have been disappointed had Taylor, literally, held on for a "boxing win" when it was clear Froch had won the fight.

Ward does not have the power to worry guys like Froch and Kessler. It looks like he has a dent chin and nice skills so overall I was impressed with this prospect.
