Ward is a beast Carl Froch is in for a beatdown..

I think Froch would have ko'd the Miranda we saw last night mid rounds as would taylor bute kessler and maybe even andrade.

Miranda hasn't been the same since his Losses to pavlik and abraham.

Now if ward had Ko'd him and not had to hug him all night then I would have been impressed.

Being a low power fighter at 168lb is very dangerous for your health unless you have a solid chin.

 

Miranda is not a smart pressure fighter WHEN he does pressure. He didn't jab his way in, he came in with his hands down and you could see his right hand coming from a mile away. Froch is much smarter, is much better technically and IMO is the harder puncher and definitelty more accurate.

I also hope you don't seriously believe that Froch is a slow starter. There is a difference between starting slow and getting out boxed. Taylor was out boxing him, and Froch was hesitant about getting countered with something huge because he had already been dropped in that third round, and that's why most of his success came in the second half of the fight. Ward( unlike Taylor) is not a heavy hitter, which means that Froch will be more agressive and start earlier just like he did against Pascal.

 

I'm not sure that a slick boxer with Ward's limited professional experience can beat Froch. It could very well turn out to be a case where one guy wins the boxing match, but the other guy wins the fight.

A heavy handed bully with good fundamentals would beat 7 shades of **** out of Carl Froch. A very skilled and othordox boxer would do the same. An inexperienced slicksters? Not so much.

Ward's good,but Froch is a very tough fighter,as well as having a big heart.At least overrated Miranda is out of the picture.

 

So much bad information from so called fight fans on this thread.

I especially like the one where the guy says ward should hit the weights to increase his power:rofl. Wow, lack of boxing knowledge. So many people think you need KO power in every fight to win as a professional. I guess Ali ddint have a chance against anyone either because he wasnt a big puncher.

1st Ward is not a prospect, he is a title contender. prospects are guys that arent ranked in the top 5 in almost every alphabet and still need to prove they can get ranked up there.

And froch is a bigger man? Looking at their stats Ward is taller, they have the same reach and Ward walks around at a higher weight than froch. ward fought at a higher weight as well.

The boxing ability difference between Froch and Ward is like the mariana trench. Froch is a crude slugger with subpar defense. He has slow hands and lacks movement. Ward is the exact opposite.

Also, people act like this fight wont come off. It has to come off. Ward should jump up as the mandatory fight for Froch as he was rated number 3 by the WBC before the Miranda fight. Its possibe ward chooses to fight another champion next since he si ranked highly by all of the organizations. But, ward surely sees that he will have very little problem with Froch.

 

andres got enough pop to keep his opponents at distance.

and froch would end up eating alot of leather trying to get inside.

this would be an amazing fight.

 

You can say a lot about Froch, but one thing is for sure: His chin is NOT untested.

 

I think Froch would beat Ward. Froch is so much better than Miranda who has not been the same after being knocked out by Pavlik and Abraham.
