People talk about Ward vs Kessler, headbutts and holding and hitting. He still got a long way to go when it comes to dirty fighting.

4:17: Hopkins explaining some of his dirty tactics.

7:45: Hopkins lands a Knock out blow to the back of Echols head, after turning him around. Echols stands up and is clearly dazed.

0:40: Hopkins turns Echols around and lands another punch to the back of the head.

5:15: Echols looking at the ref complaing about the dirty fighting, Hopkins finishes him off.

6:45: Hopkins lands a headbutt followed by a two punch combination. Wright starts shouting Hopkins is a dirty fighter.

And thats just a few clips.

Hopkins was the master at holding and hitting, dirty fighting in general.

Is there any fighter past or present that is better than Hopkins when it comes to dirty fighting?

Thing is, no one pretends Hopkins ISN'T a dirty fighter. Even his fans accept it. Wardies can't admit their boy is, and just say he's adaptable. Which he is, he can switch between the head butt and elbow at will.

I know what you're saying.Ward's fans can't seem to admit that their man is a dirty fighter,as he is pretty dirty.Same with Hopkins when his excusemakers call his dirty tactics ring generalship, although it's more commonly accepted about Hopkins. It's almost as bad as Ricky Hatton's fans being unable to admit that their man was one of the dirtiest fighters of his generation,as he certainly was.Or even Carl Froch's fans being unable to admit that he's an expert at rabbit punching and holding and hitting.Generally, fans' inability to admit that their favorites are dirty fighters shows their lack of objectivity and integrity.

just a couple of head butts, no big deal.:good

That leads me in to question why do you like Ward and Not Froch coincidence? I believe you must hate Ward at least 50%?:huh

Dirty fighting is a skill within the game. It can upset rhythm when used appropriately.

Watch Hopkins vs Echols I, Hopkins didnt perform as well as the Echols II fight. Difference was, Hopkins dirty fighting, roughing up was upped in the rematch, led to a TKO win.

I wont call it cheating, its a fight at the end of the day, and in a fight you would do anything to win.
