Ward is better than Calzaghe, would beat Calzaghe, and will soon be the #1 SMW ever.

:yikes I'm pretty annoyed I've wasted time on this thread replying to someone who has such a SHOCKING understanding of boxing.

Seriously, this is some of the weakest **** I've ever seen.

Does this really pass as boxing analysis to you people??? :yikes

Absolutely woeful. Consider yourself ignored, you're a time-waster. :yikes

Calzaghe struggled with B-Hop and was losing, until the 43 year old man tired.

Ward has many of the same stylistic traits as B-Hop.

    Ward isn't 43.

    This isn't rocket science. :rofl

Crap, didn't realize this post was the same dude who just perpetrated the most ABYSMAL attempt at boxing analysis ever witnessed on here.

I rescind my last post, as have no wish to debate with you further on anything ever.

    :yikes

Why do guys like you always try and excuse losses on your guy tiring? Taylor gassed against Froch, Hopkins tired against Calzaghe...

Ever thought that these guys tire because the opponent MAKES it happen? Hopkins was fine against Pavlik, a plodder. A fight is twelve rounds, and if one fighter can't manage to fight effectively for those twelve rounds it's their own fault for not being good enough. If Hopkins had been better he'd have negated Calzaghe's stamina. He didn't.

Calzaghe beat better versions of Bika and Kessler, and didn't need to play dirty like Ward did he'd have Lacy, though much-hyped was seen as a serious threat at the time. Calzaghe was betting underdog there. A faded Eubank is better than the exposed Abraham Ward beat, and while Calzaghe's record is a bit thin after that he still has a decade of title fights, as well as having beaten Hopkins at 175 (despite Hopkins' crying foul and playing for time).

Fella, you should come with a receipt or something because you've been owned on here.

This one should go in the ESB Hall of Shame. The time capsule of those who talk big, but then deliver so little. My little cousin is 12, has watched a handful of fights, and even he would know this is an excruciatingly bad attempt at analysing how a fight would go.

The Hall Of Shame awaits, you poor poor man. :rofl

:patsch read my post and come up with an answer that's relevant to what I posted. You just contradicted yourself by saying Calzaghe hasn't fought anyone like Ward and then made an argument that ward is a lot like Hopkins. If you can admit your wrong their I'll accept that maybe your not a complete dick but if you try and cover it up and act like mr perfect then I'm done on this thread

Once again you dithered away from the point. Yes ward would land the more significant punches but would no way out land Joe

Jermain Taylor - "my guy"? You'be just outed yourself as a "us against them" UK vs USA dullard.

I'm not American, and was cheering Froch on vs Taylor.

 Do you really think this, or you just trying to be cool?

I mean, you haven't even said anything really?

You General Forum guys really don't know how to debate. :patsch

The 40+ Hopkins fights well when he is allowed to fight at his own pace (Tarver, Pavlik, Pascal etc).

The 40+ Hopkins does not match the pace of a fighter who forces a higher tempo (Taylor, Calzaghe, and I believe Dawson was on his way to achieving the same thing).

Again, this isn't rocket science guys.

Just watch the fights with an open mind, and as long as you're not a moron, you will see. :good

And all of this is thoroughly irrelevant to the stylistic match-up between Ward and Calzaghe which would be thoroughly in Ward's favour, if you understood boxing on a level a little higher than "UK good, USA bad". :rofl

Popkins you're really not half as smart as you'd like people to think you are. I wasn't turning it into a US vs UK argument. I was making a comparison between your argument that Hopkins gassed and your making out like that was nothing to do with Calzaghe's workrate and pressure, and those people who think the same thing about the Froch-Taylor fight.

It's not difficult, it's not rocket science, so please try and keep up. You're laughable.

That the best you have to come up with? No wonder you seem to spend most your time on here arguing with yourself. See ya. I'm bored of you now.

That 43 yr old guy is still beating the best out there and NO, Ward would defo struggle with Calzaghe, contrary to what u and most ppl r saying over here.
I really don't understand the hate towards Calzaghe in here... ohh wait... he ain't black-american.... I know, I know, a lot o' butts still hurting!?!?:yep
