How does he lack charisma? Is it because he exudes class and goes a little heavy on the religious stuff? I think he has a fine personality. People these days are too used and entertained by Floyd's trash-talking. Just because a fighter shows some class and respect for his opponents doesn't mean he lacks charisma or has a bad personality. so bute needed a fight that would get him in the loop after not taking part in the SMW tourney - in the same way taylor needed to get on track when he also went looking for froch...

the only difference is that taylor made his name before falling from grace, bute just put himself in limbo

Herschman admitted to NOT inviting Bute to the tourney at the start when people made a big stink about it. Bute didn't get asked until the tourney was in shambles fights later, and he already had his HBO fights locked in. He was more than willing to fight in it. Not his fault.

There was a clear reason Taylor and Abraham were asked in instead.

I think he is HoF already just for being undisputed and lineal 168 and 175 champ. I don't care about Dawson's trinkets but he put his lineal title up for grabs fighting Ward under the LHW limt and lost it last night.
