Gates don't bring the real money in boxing. Does Bradley get a million a fight because he draws so well?
Sorry. What I meant was that his run in the Super Six isn't as gruelling as he's making out. When downplaying the Bute fight, he gave off the notion that he deserves a nice and easy fight before committing to Bute. But the fact is, Ward's time in the Super Six has been a very easy one. He's not done anything that extraordinary to say Bute doesn't deserve an immediate shot. Because as mentioned, Bute's proven to be a far better than any of those Super Six guys that Ward's just beaten.
Well trying to make fights the day after a huge fight is not necessarily a great idea. Bute certainly has not proven to be far better than Kessler or Froch. Not even AA. How do you arrive at that conclusion?
I take what he said about Bute as early trash talk for a possible fight on the horizon, nothing more. Ward should be allowed time to heal and think for a minute before there is any commitment to any fight right now. He has a fugged up hand atm and likely won't fight again at least until May. Give him time to heal and explore options, he's talked about 175 as well, its not like Bute is his only option and there's no way he could agree to that fight less than 48 hours after his last fight.
