    Agreed! This fight personifies 50/50.

I think a drunk Kov lands hard shots on Ward. I bet Ward has a plan in mind for Kov and thinks he got it. I bet if nothing else, kovalev surprises him.

    55/45 Ward for me.

Using Bud-Postol is a dumb comparison, though. Kovalev has game changing power that can win him the fight if he's down 7 rounds.

Postol doesn't. I thought Postol should've been a 3-1 underdog as a result, not what is nearly a pick 'em fight.

Bud wasnt running now one was chasing him. Talk smack bout postol he didnt do anything right all nite . Postol got knocked down twice and fought the rest of the fight like he was winning . Showed no sense of urgency accept for a brief moment in 12th then bud started backin him up

As far as kov / ward gunna super close . Ward has speed n a little bit of edge of athleticism . Krusher has size n power.

I think krusher will get the win , bigger stronger n hes more comfortable at lhw. Also kov been active n hes not rusty.

Ward still inactive we will see how he looks vs brand.

Kov didnt look good vs chilemba n i think the fight was a good fight to take before ward, im sure kov learned a thing or 2 frum chilemba like dnt look for ko , n make sure your super accurate.

Gunna b very close ward can go in there make him miss all nite n counter n win this im not counting him out , but i have krushers back

Kovalev is better than Postol and I honestly think Crawford may actually be better than Ward.

I had Crawford winning that fight 8-4 (before that is, though I didn't think Crawford would be as dominant) and had him 65-35 favourite as well, I have Ward a slight favourite after the Chilemba fight but I personally think it's stupid to base your decision on how Postol-Crawford went.

But I get why some people would think Crawford-Postol would be a good parallel. They both represent somewhat similar styles, Postol being the more basic fighter and Crawford being the more versatile technician counter puncher.

So on the face of it, may seem like it's the same thing but one thing is that Kovalev is more agressive, has got way more power than Postol p4p, I think he's got more assets to his game, he moves his head more, his offense is far more varied, he can change elevation and angles, he's not strictly a 1-2 guy.

Also Kovalev sets up his punches with feints, varies the speed on them and he's also more mindful of his foot placement.

I've always got the sense from Kov that he is all about the moment.

The reason the argument breaks down is because:

    Kovalev's skills >>>> Postol's skills

Kovalev won't be as easily outwitted as Postol. Not taking anything away from Crawford though, Postol is an A-class fighter and it was a superb win. But Kovalev is a p4p talent; Postol is not.
