Ward is in a really really tough position, even though he is #2 p4p

    Although he is the KING of 168/P4P #2, he seems to be in quite a precarious/tough position.

    He has already beaten the best 168 has to offer, but his paydays simply don't match his status. His drawing power is ****.

    Even guys like Broner/Garcia/Ghost Guerrero are making similar to what he's making (It's bull****)

    (I'm a huge fan of S.O.G)

    Other guys like Bute/Froch/Kessler can fight each other and make way more money that way than fighting Ward. I doubt any of them wants anything to do with him anyways.

    The 175 division is complete **** other than Pascal (Who just took a loss recently vs Hopkins), Hopkins (Someone who seems to be on very good terms with Ward and won't fight each other), Cloud (This may be a possibility if he beats Hopkins but I don't know if he is going to)

    The 160 division can also make a lot of money without Ward. I doubt anyone there wants anything to do with him anyways.

    Nobody there has called out any of the top dogs at 168. And they sure will not call out Ward.

    There just doesn't seem to be a rival for him because he is too good for his own good!

    And to top it all off, Ward keeps getting injured (Shoulder injury- required surgery), Broken Hand. It's really not helping him at all.

    He's 28, in his boxing prime and only fought once in 2012.

    What do you think Ward should do?

    Wait for something big to pop up at 168?
    Move to LHW?
    Possibly call out the 160's and fight catchweights?

    Bute, Cloud, Pascal, Kovalev, Golovkin, Geale, Quillin + plus everyone else at MW. Surely some of these fights will get made eventually, he's not staying at 168 forever. Only a fanboy would claim no one wants to fight him. **** thread.

    With that said, I'd rather see him at 160.

    He isn't making 160..

    He said before he can't make it and would want a bout between himself/martinez to be at a catchweight.

    first he should take a tune-up then aim a fight with the winner of Froch - Kessler rematch in Nottingham / Copenhagen then maybe a fight with Bute and after that move up at LHW and fight Pascal , Kovalev , rematch Dawson and fight Cloud .:yep

    It's not hard at him at all, try to entice catchweights with the names at 160, or simply move up. If he want's to be stuck with no opponent thats on him

    Ward is the best fighter in the division granted, P4P number 2? not for me!

    If history tells us something it tells us a champion always has challengers, he will fight one of, if not both Dirrells, he will fight Bute, and will more than likely fight the Froch Kessler winner.

    Its not like there are no fights out there for him right now is there? Dawson at 175 presents Ward with another test, as does the current crop of champions up at that weight class too.

    If he's pissed about his wages, he should change his promoter!

    in all seriousness though the reason he makes **** money is because only hardcore fans appreciate his style.
    The reason he cant get good fights is because he has beaten everybody and because more than likely he wont travel to fight

    Martinez at a catch weight. Dirrell brothers when they get back neat the top (end of 2013 or 2014). And a rematch with Kessler Froch winner.

    It's a hell of a situation because he's already beaten everyone of note at his weight and even by travelling to fight the winner of Froch-Kessler he won't get any credit except from a tiny minority of hardcore fans because he's already beaten them both at a canter. The division above him is absolute **** with no-one he can fight to increase his rep since, as I said, they're all **** and he doesn't have the build or the style to drop down in weight since he seems naturally bulky and his awkward, inside style wouldn't go down especially well against quicker men like Sergio.

    I actually think he's p4p #1 easily just now, despite the fact that I wouldn't cross the road to see him fight if I had a free ticket, but I can't see how he's going to progress his career at the moment with nobody to fight who's worth fighting.
