Ward is irrelevant in terms of marketability, he doesn't appeal.

He has to travel in UK to fight an unbeaten young lion like DeGale to increase his popularity.:nod

    I agree.

Then right after, he should meet undefeated George Groves.

Andre Ward is lineal at 172 and it probably will be a couple more years before he fights again.

Nobody wants to see Andre Ward unless it's against Kovalev (because in that case we can watch Sergey end this fool's career).

He can't sell tickets or get tv ratings. Also has a boring style. He isn't a draw and any discussion of him being a PPV fighter is laughable.

his over-inflated ego and lack of personality are also reasons why he isn't liked by casual boxing fans

But yet if he talked **** like Broner you hate him still. People like Ward can't win with people like you if they don't talk **** you hate him and call him boring if he's a **** talker you hate him still. I wonder what the real problem is?:think

I don't hate him, I just don't like his fighting style and the demands he throws at HBO/Showtime, especially the amount of money he wants in retrospect to the quality of his opponents

and there's no comparison between guys like Ward ( perfect family man) to Broner (banging disease riddled hoes and putting money on fire),

I think most people prefer a fighter that is willing to fight anyone and do their talking in the ring. Personally I don't care how good a 'talker' someone is. It is pointless. Ward seems to want to fight the Rodriguez and Smiths of the world for 2 million dollars and not fight worthy challengers. He pretty much is painted into a corner now and has to fight GGG or Kovalev.

Ward is one of the most proven fighters in the world today he was #2 P4P behind PBF before he had injuries. He's undefeated and beat elite comp in the Super 6 of course he's going to want even money and why shouldn't he? He's the more proven fighter and has more to lose than his opponents do.

just because he's extremely skilled, it doesn't mean he's a draw, just take a look at Rigo

yes, he's beaten the best SMWs, but that was almost 4 years ago, since then he's been injured and battling his promoter in court, and most people have simply forgotten about the former gold medalist from Athens

tbh, it's hard to consider Ward a draw when his promoter has to buy air time on a 2nd or 3rd tier TV channel because HBO and Showtime rejected his 2 million payday to fight Paul Smith level fighters, even as a comeback fight after 2 years of inactivity

Ward has to prove that he's still as good as he was 4 years ago, and the only way to do that is to get in the ring as often as possible and once again beat the current crop of top guys at 168
