Ward is irrelevant in terms of marketability, he doesn't appeal.

Since when has GG and Kov become pay per view bonanzas lol!!!??? There are still nobodies in the boxing world. GG is far worse because his comp is trash. I love Kov but right now he does not appeal to anyone because nobody understands him yet. Americans love Kov, but they have to get to know him more. GG is just a ****en nobody fighting bums and old used up guys.

Ward is a proven elite P4P fighter no doubt but that means jack sh#t if he can't appeal the masses. He should stop being such a diva and go in UK to fight DeGale and Groves.

    :good

Both Kovalev and Golovkin have travelled overseas.

Did Abraham say he wanted a rematch with Ward?

    Did DeGale call out Ward?

Actually people want Ward to fight someone specifically Kovalev or even GGG but since GGG is wanting to unify all the belts at Middleweight that seems out the window for now. So it is basically Kovalev or bust and HBO seems to agree.

How's Ward doing in retirement? Hearing he's thinking about coming out and challenging Kovalev? :think

Respect to him if he does that, Kovalev is a killer!

You wish Ward was irrelevant, yet every thread of he's, you will be found preaching to the world how irrelevant Ward.

By the way there is ongoing discussion between Ward's camp and Kovalev's of a potential fight between the two in 2016.

I appreciate you stating a sensible case why you dislike a fighter, if only everyone would do that instead of the constant merry go round in here

Ward has Roc Nation backing him now, he can easily get the $$$ backing to lure Abraham or Degale to put their titles on the line vs him

So let me get the straight. Basically what you're saying is that Andre Ward is ducking Abraham, a guy he easily beat 4-5 years ago?:huh

Since Degalle won his belt I haven't heard him mention Ward's name, so how can Ward be ducking him.

Are you really 38? That's got to be sad to be that old and yet lack so much wisdom. :verysad

Degale has no leverage he can't call any shots. Ward until further notice is the man at 168

where did I say Ward is ducking AA? please show me this :rofl

Ward is back in the game, if he wants to prove he's #1 at 168, he has to beat the current top guys, and AA and Degale fit that category, plus he has the promotional backing now ($$$) to get big fights to come his way

btw, it's kind of sad that the top dogs at 168 are AA, a blown up MW, Groves (knocked out cold by an ancient Froch), solid at best Degale, and completely unproven Zurdo, after that there's only crickets chirping

You busters trying play two ends against the middle with GGG and Kov at the ends and Ward in the middle. Yall act like Ward is not a draw and people don't know who he is but I beg to differ because when his name was mentioned as a possible opponent after the GGG and Kov fights, the crowd went wild. People know who Ward is and both fights would make big money. Ward knows this and he wants to capitalize on both fronts. GGG don't wanna take the money for the ass whooping he will receive because he thinks that he can milk this Mexican style con job for more money in the long run than he can get for taking a beat down from Ward. Ward should put GGG's sorry ass on the back burner and hype a fight with Degale for big money at Wembly. Then he can go see Kov. Now that will be the fight for legacy as well as big money. Its a toss up right now but Ward can't afford to let Kov marinate too long because Kov is eating up boxing knowledge like a sponge and will be untouchable in a couple of years.

Degale is willing to fight in the states. And he has made his name known a bit here after getting by Dirrell. There's no need for Ward to go to the UK and fight Groves, who was stopped by Froch, whom Ward handled easily.

Ward has a lot of leverage; because, he was and still is the scalp that ANY fighter from 168-175 worth his salt should want on his resume. In terms of building a LEGACY, he is the man. From a financial standpoint, as it relates to fanbases, more active and "entertaining" fighters have the leverage there.
