i think so as well, i never thought kessler was impressive and the hype he was getting was ridiculous. the fact that ward compleletly out-classed him is of no suprise to me. kessler is a very limited and very predictable fighter, and boxers like ward will continue to give him boxing lessons in the near future.
not tryna knock your opinion, but its like 2 days ago everyone on ESB was saying Kessler is gonna have an easy time, TKO mid rounds, he's gonna win the whole tourney...but now people r saying he's limited, Calzaghe took his confidence, he was never good, etc.
True. Ward is nothing special. A truly world class opponent would make Ward pay for his clutching and lunging. He was begging to get caught... Ward is still fairly green despite it all. He beat Miranda and Kessler. Nothing wow about that.
Ward is becoming overrated, I know. He has some talent and can be pretty solid. The Super Middleweight division doesn't really overly impress me, so I don't think him winning is a longshot. But I'm not about to crazy like some who think he's a lock to win in the finals.
I still think Kessler beats Froch. And as much as I think Ward looked great tonite, I think he could have a hard time with Taylor(believe it or not).
Ward showed special skills in there, although he's not 100% polished yet. I believe he can get even better than this.
But is there anyone world class in terms of true world class(Kessler fans didnt know what true world class was) that would be able to capitalize on that lunging in. Because I agree, a world class fighter like a prime Hop or Jones KO's Ward lunging in like that.
