Good. It's a good card without that wasting an hour of everybodies time.

Put Ward back on BET so nobody has to watch him.

Roc has to be livid...they spent a fortune on Ward and Cotto, and Cotto doesn't have many PPV's left in him.

This would've been the ideal time to get Ward's career back on track and give him exposure on a PPV platform. They need to develop him into a PPV fighter to generate a return on their investment because he didn't come cheap. It was a farce that it took that long to find an opponent in the first place.

I believe Cotto was only signed to a 3 fight deal. I don't think they'd be that livid with him being he took this fight v Canelo

Well if this is true it will just delay the possible Kovalev vs Ward fight even longer. Because he needs to get his 2 tune ups in before he fights Kovalev.

The problem he had for this fight was that he really only even decided to fight again this year in early October when it was first rumoured that he could be on the Cotto/Canelo undercard. 8 weeks out is simply not enough time to get a decent opponent even if he wanted one. By the time the details would be arranged by both parties a fighter would only have a few weeks to train which is another reason why he was looking to drag up super middles as no light heavy could make the weight safely with such a short camp.

It's just another example of the total incompetence he is surrounded by. I agree that he needs a reality check because he's quickly becoming a joke. Too many yes men telling him he's this and that, nobody is jumping through ropes to fight him and he can't expect for things to go smoothly if he does things on short notice. The whole build up to his fight was just a clusterphuck of the highest order.

Ward should now begin making arrangements for another date and start looking for suitable opposition for his debut at light heavy, early next year. But going off what we have seen this past year, what he will do is sit on his ass, do nothing for months, then at the last minute try and make a fight 6 months from now and expect every top contender to jump when he says jump, agree to a fight on short notice without a full camp and get paid peanuts for the privilege. It's fricken infuriating that he and his team thinks this is how a fighters career should be managed.

HBO: "Um Andre we need you to sign off on this part of the contract where you're legally obligated to fight Kovalev before we agree to pay for any of these other fights". Ward: "Nah, I don't need to sign that. I beat Kessler & Froch".

Ward wants to demand large money on past accomplishments but when it comes to questioning the opponent caliber he says he needs tune ups due to inactivity. Full on re**** this guys seems.

I can't. He has overplayed his hand to the point of embarrassment.

Who cares he will fight a month or two later against a better opponent.

So he is going to give a better opponent one month to get ready for a fight? Who is he going to pull off the garbage heap that isn't already scheduled to fight in one month's time?

I'm off the Ward wagon until he actually GETS IN THE RING with, as you say, a better opponent. Until then, screw him. Yusef Mack style.
