Yet Wards best win is a past best, rusty unwell double vision suffering fighter that Calzaghe beat when prime and undefeated whilst being in the twilight of his career and past his best.
    Got it :nut:good

Ward is the better fighter, but it's all just talk because as Ward said...Joe can talk tough from his couch. Either man up or STFU, it's a pretty simple equation.

I did not say Hopkins ducked Calzaghe. I said Calzaghe signed to fight Hopkins in 2002/2003 only for Hopkins to price himself out of the fight. I went on to say in another post that he did so because the majority of the money he'd have got for the fight would have gone to Don King instead so he was trying to get a better deal for himself out of it. I also went on to say that I dont think Hopkins did duck Calzaghe. The fact is Hopkins wanted more money to take the fight than viable at the time - partly, in truth, because of the fact that Calzaghe wasn't a big enough name at the time - that's not a duck, its simply pricing himself out of a deal.

And Ward does not crush Calzaghe, he's not the kind of fighter than can be crushed, he's got too much stamina, too much workrate, too high a punch out-put, too awkard a style, he's too adaptive and too relisiliant to be crushed by anyone - the only fighter post-1990 who might stand a chance of doing it is Prime Roy Jones Jr. You are living in a fantasy world if you think anyone Ward has fought so far has been in Calzaghe's league, that any of his victories over Froch, Kessler, Dawson or Abaham show him to be capable of dominating Calzaghe should they have fought each other at their best.

Again, I have to point out as I did in one of the other Ward vs. Calzaghe thread I commented on, I have no problem with anyone picking Ward to win but I think its ridiculous to say that it would be one-sided. I, personally, would have gone for a Calzaghe win but it would be a close, ugly fight reminisent of Calzaghe/Hopkins.

Nowt wrong with what Calzaghe said there he thinks he would have won and said so Ward is getting a habit of bitching on twitter.

What do people think Ward would say if asked how a fight with Calzaghe would go

Their circumstances are different. Ward as yet, hasn't had to travel. Joe and pretty much everyone else who's based in Europe, has to go to the States for big fights. Joe left it far too late. He went in 2008, and he could and should have gone over much earlier.

would be a good fight , ward is the best supermiddle of the now , but calzaghe wouldve just outworked him, he wasnt one dimensional and would change it up when he needed to , granted calzaghes resume isnt amazing but it doesnt mean he was an unskilled eurobum.

The pace he used to fight at was frightening

Ward hasn't fought in a year, he fought an weight drained hypejob. Guy never fought outside of the U.S, who the f*ck is he too use "comfort" "his couch" in a sentence directed towards Calzaghe? After the Super Six Ward has been like a b*tch.

  10. Is Ward doing anything else than spending his time on twitter and ESB?
