I'm actually a fan of wards, but sometimes it's better to say nothing when asked a question about fighting at home. If everybody except Kessler came into supersix undefeated (o yea that Taylor guy) and Ward, and Dirrell had the least amount of experience how the hell did you earn the right?

The problem with boxing jounlist today is that they never challenge the boxer or make them explain their comments!!!

I would of asked Ward, "do you care to elboarate on how you earned the right"

What I want to know is, WTF was Kessler's promoter thinking by agreeing to fight in Oakland? Kessler was the #1 ranked SMW. He earned the right to fight at home, not Ward. That fight and the appalling refereeing changed Kessler's career. He should have fired his promoter on the spot.

Ward beating Kessler's ass in dominant fashion shows why he deserved to fight at home. It wasn't a head butt that destroyed Kessler . He was beat on all fronts. Watch the fight again to come back to reality.

Genius - yes, Ward outboxed Kessler. But it was multiple headbutts, and, no, winning didn't mean he deserved to have home field advantage first time out. If you seriously think Ward wouldn't have been DQ'd outside of Oakland you need to get a grip on reality yourself.

You Kessler fans are reaching Calzaghe obsession over this guy. Ward destroyed Kessler and it wasn't headbutts. He nearly pitched a shut out on him. Kessler couldn't do ****. I REPEAT-KESSLER COULD'NT DO ****!!!!!!!!!

Please watch the fight again. The headbut occurred long into the fight. Ward just had his number from the opening bell.

Do you think Kessler-Ward would have drawn 11000+ in Scandinavia? I don't. And I couldn't care less if they had the fight in Denmark with less in attendance. I still blame Showtime for not establishing a firm system that would have given all S6 competitors the same amount of home fights.

Say there had been a draw to identify who's who before the S6 started...

    American 1 vs European 1 = American 1's venue
    American 2 vs European 2 = European 2's venue
American 3 vs European 3 = Neutral American venue (slight disadvantage for E3 - tough luck)

    American 3 vs European 2 = American 3's venue
    American 1 vs European 3 = European 3's venue
American 2 vs European 1 = Neutral European venue (slight disadvantage for A2 - tough luck)

    American 2 vs European 3 = American 2's venue
    American 3 vs European 1 = European 1's venue
American 1 vs European 2 = Bell Centre w/ Bute on the card

American 1 vs American 2 and
European 1 vs European 2 = Neutral European venue

American 1 vs American 3 and
European 1 vs European 3 = Neutral American venue

American 2 vs American 3 and
European 2 vs European 3 = Bell Centre w/ Bute on the card

And then #4 at #1, #3 at #2 for the semis... final in Vegas or MGM because of capacity and tradition (besides, it's Showtime).

...in a perfect world? Oh yeah that's right, it's a business. Money talks.

GOW7 - You're missing the f*cking point. Of course Ward had Kessler's number. I never said otherwise. Would Ward have been DQ'd in Europe? Yes, probably so. Would Ward have outboxed Kessler in Europe? Yes, probably so. But that still has f*ck all to do with what I first said, that if anyone deserved the home-field advantage, it was Kessler, not Ward. And Kessler's promoter/manager is garbage for allowing that fight to take place in Oakland.

Sauerland isn't garbage. they're the top promoter in europe fool. Besides,
goosen and kirschmann cooked up S6 in the 1st place, and kalle agreed
to fight ward in oakland because the money was RIGHT. The fact that ward
said he's earned the right is laughable, and i do not think he should have
homefield for every friggin fight either.....................However,
I will promise you this, AA will be fighting in oakland, but if froch beats
glencoffe. YOU CAN BET YOUR ASS FROCH WILL NOT, I REPEAT, NOT
FIGHT WARD IN OAKLAND IN THE FINALS!!!!!

Ward's fans didn't have to cry about it. WARD cried about it. Did you seem him talking to the referee all fight? Raider country, my ass. Ward is more S.F. than Oakland.

I don't give a f*ck that Sauerland is a top promoter, they did their fighter a disservice. Unless you're on their payroll, you really need to stop swinging from their nutsacks.
Froch already said he wouldn't fight in Oakland. He watched the Kessler debacle. He knows better.
