Do you know what "bargain" means? It means "negotiate", so both parties bargain, not just one. I recommend using a dictionary for words that are hard for you to understand. :deal

It's not an unreasonable question, but it's leading and your agenda is obvious as always.
The only thing that could be an issue is weight. The split isn't going to be lopsided either way. Like, best case for Ward, the Kovalev fight is exciting does hearteningly well, and Brook flops massively, it's still going to be maximum 60/40 in his favour. Best Golovkin can hope for is maybe 70/30.

Ward is a bit of a homer but GGG has never had an issue travelling, or shown any concern for the other petty demands with gloves or ring etc.

But they're 2 divisions apart, the same as Brook GGG which is universally accepted as a **** fight. Oddly it might actually be less of a problem than it was previously, if ginger has located his nuts in the meantime. If it happens while Golovkin is still at MW, it's got to be 168.

Beyond that it's anyone's guess. Just look at some prediction threads from 4 years ago, nothing works out as you might logically expect.

its "leading" and my "agenda is obvious"....how? you even said its a legit question and answered it...its either agenda driven or a legit question....not both....its an honest question

im wondering if a ward win over kova doesn't give him the same power at the table, or maybe, slightly more

No, of course it can be both. You're asking a reasonable question, but with the hope of confirming your bias.

Anyway I didn't get hung up on it, I gave my thoughts on the matter, just trying to explain why it's not been treated as a genuine question throughout the thread.

how is this post "confirming a bias"

I asked a legit question...I just happen to think that being, in a win for ward, beating a fellow top p4p guy and being elevated to #1 on p4p lists would give him some bargaining power....that's all...its my opinion.....

ur trying to participate but throw in a shot because you know I expose and dog golovkin daily....but I assure that's not the goal here

I don't need you to explain why a group of clowns didn't treat it as a genuine question...I know why...because I clown their hero daily and they cant handle it

look back at how desperate dan4321 was to try and get at me in this thread...and I basically pulled his draws down in front of the entire class

Fair enough. In the scenario you gave, from a purely sporting pov, I'd agree Ward would deserve it. But as we all know that's not how it works, and it's very likely, at least if Ward stays active, they'll both have a good few fights before this ever materialises. So a lot can change. Hopefully I'm wrong but being pessimistic I'm thinking SOG Kovalev will bomb.

a lot could definitely change...I mean...ggg maybe gets canelo? that would prob sway things greatly in gggs favor no matter what ward did after kova

I don't know if ward/kova doing "numbers" is gonna make a difference really...I think just winning that fight would help ward no matter how well it does

I personally think the fight will be too tough to make....ward will not come back down to 168 imo....and if ward beats kova I don't see golovkin jumping at the chance to fight him above 168 imo

but sanchez seems to think so...so we shall see

Yeah, it'll take GGG having a few fights against the top 168ers, and mowing them down in standard MW fashion, to be even plausible imo. Maybe if he does that he'll feel he can go up a little more.

I'm excited to see Brook and Smith get shots at big name fighters.

I'm a bit gutted we aren't seeing Brook vs Thurman as that's a winnable fight for him and I don't see this as such.

If Beefy wants to be the best LMW this is the fight he needed to make so I can't grumble as much.

Gutted CEJ has lost his shot but it's his dad's fault.

BJ'S keeps hiding behind the fact he's never had a contract t face G but if he did he'd snap it up, not sure how to take him.

To answer the question, if Ward wins he's absolutely the A-side imo. Already is.

I'd rather see Ward chase Stevenson if he wins and Golovkin chase Canelo tbh.

He was SMW champ. Legitimate champ that is.

I always believe the champ should be the a-side.

I think Ward would be in a bigger position to dictate, but it'd probably be in favor of Golovkin due to fan base alone. Ward has the better resume, and beating Kovalev is even more impressive than ANYTHING Golovkin has done.
