and all ya haters just keep takin about one or two unintentional headbutts. Did Kessler even land a double figure in any round ? It was a boxing masterpiece from Ward. Kessler was outclassed. Eat it.
well good for Ward I like him, but this is bad for JT if he stays on, Ward is confident and has a belt. The fouls that Ward made and the refereeing of the fight is irrelevant as Kessler didn't bring his A-game. I'm sure when Ward finally leaves the states to fight out of his backyard against Abraham, it'll be dramatic cause Ward will have to fight against the odds where he can't afford even the smallest mistakes, and won't get away with any rough house tactics, but his opponent might, that's boxing today. If I didn't make it clear Ward impressed and fought very well!
Kessler could have copped 10-15 headbutts it still doesnt take away the fact he threw little landed nothing and ate everything Ward delivered. Ward was too good
The thread starter is a dumbass but even a dumbass is right once in a while and this is one of those instances.
I'm betting he clinched about as many times as he landed cleanly. You all can cling to his nuts and say as many good things about him as you want, but his fighting style disgusts me.
LMAO at how mad people are. Kessler got the living crap beaten out of him. Embarressed beyond belief. The same people crying about head butts are the same ones who were telling people to stop bitching about the dirrell-Crotch robbery. In this case their fighter got owned and outclassed the whole fight and are using unintentional headbutts as an excuse to why he lost.
listen **** that. bottom line is the so called "green lil ameture boy" shouldnt have even been able to go over 6 rounds with "the p4p material, and great ****ing kessler". Remember what you lot where saying 2 days ago, so dirty tactics or not he showed that hes better than kessler as a fighter. he caught kessler with punches that made the freakin highlight reel. I disliked both fighters becuz to me there hype jobs, but im gona respect them both as fighters and say that ward suprised me, and wish him the best
Ward was winning this fight comfortably and with or without headbutts was gonna win. The 2nd stage will show if Kessler is finished or if Ward is special and I look forward to it.
Who gives a **** about rough-housing? As the man once said, "you're not in there to dance, the name of the game is fight". Take that advantage if you can. Ward's domination contained some rough tactics. If you all don't like it, I hear the figure-skating championships are coming up.
Dirty fighting is part of the game, but there is still a referee in the ring. If one guy can take advantage of the rules because he's hometown favorite, it's corrupt. In this case it wasn't a bad referee that lost Kessler the fight, it was all his own fault, but in close fights it's a shame that you can get away with stuff just because your the bout takes place in your backyard. The super six tournament have shown two examples of this so far: 1 Froch vs Dirrell where Froch wrestled Dirrell, hit him after the bell and breaks and rabbit punched him without getting a point deduction, Dirrell got one for holding though? 2 Ward vs Kessler. Kessler gets tied up by Ward, ref tells Kessler to step back, let Ward go and break, and when Kessler does that Wards hits him. Ward also leads with his head the clash of heads open cuts on Kessler unintentional headbutt or not. My point is it ain't the rough-house tactics that's wrong it's the referee that allows them. Because if the fighter knew he should be careful not to jump in with his head or man-handle the opponent b/c he would get a warning or a deduction, then it wouldn't be a big deal. Ward did everything right though and credit to him for making Kessler look overmatched at times.
Bullsh!t. Dirrell WAS robbed but although he won Ward fought dirty and didn't need to, he could have done it anyway. This just stinks up his win.
Exactly don't understand why, it was very annoying listening to the commentators talking about Ward wanting to stop Kessler, because quite frankly Kessler would have lasted the fight if not for the headbutts. Although I liked Wards overall performance it really was too bad that the fight had to end in the way it did.
