I think DeGale would pursue it more then Groves personally. I believe Booth will take a few learning fights and even chuck Groves in with Stieglitz rather then Bika who's rough, tough and dangerous.

    Play the percentages does Booth.

    1. Saiko Bika - Will fight for the vacant title
    2. Edwin Rodriguez - Contracted to fight Dennis Granchev in Monaco
    3. George Groves
    4. Marco Antonio Periban
    5. James DeGale

Both Groves and Periban are in with a shot. Groves vs Bika would be class.

Bika beats DeGale, possibly stops him.

I don't like that fight for Groves, can you imagine the state of his face after 12 rounds of Bika's head butts and elbows and forearms, not a pretty thought. I think Skills is right Booth won't push for the fight he'll look to go after Stieglitz as they have been doing. Whoever wins it is probably going to have to face Ward a few months later and get dusted up pretty badly so perhaps they have that in mind too!

I think Ward will go to 175 very soon. That long lay-off doesn't bode well for him making 168 much longer.

Do you think ward could move up to light heavy and cruiserweight? If he does move up to light heavy there aren't that many fights out there for him so moving up to cruiserweight would be a big challenge for him fighting much bigger men.

I think Bika would beat DeGale but a Groves fight is quite interesting. I'd really like to see that fight.

The more and more you think about it, seemed so stupid for Ward to fight Dawson at 168lbs.

Ward won't fight at cruiser weight he'd be too small and he's not stupid, he wasn't in a rush to go up in weight to fight Dawson he took the fight at SMW though. He'll move up to light heavy eventually but I wasn't under the impression that he struggled at the weight particularly?

    Bika?

    ...Bika?

Does he permanently get a mandatory spot despite never beating anyone of worth ever?

    ****ing Bika.

There were rumors he was tight at 168 prior to the Super Six, but a few weeks ago he said he would go to 160lbs to fight Mayweather.

Bika's a horrible fight for anyone. Very tough customer who's developing a bit under Shields. Would quite like to see Bika win a version of a title. Quite like watching him roughing people up .

I'm sure the $1m payday softened the blow!

Dawson basically conceded all of that before even signing the fight, so I can't be too hard on Ward for taking advantage of it. I'd have preferred it at 175, but nobody forced Dawson to cut so much weight.
