Why is it everytime someone gives an opinion of a shitty matchup........some moron pops out of the woodwork raging about haters?

No one is hating on Ward here..........Now without further ado, will you please exit the this thread and go whine on another one.

I would like to have seen punchstats for that fight, I bet Miranda didnt land 100 total punches.

Those guys keep saying after the third round, "Miranda stopped punching" **** what was the point he couldnt land ****. It was funny after about the 4th round Ward was in his corner and someone said you can see everything coming...Ward replied EVERYTHING.

    WRONG! :blood

Miranda stuck his neck on the block but Ward failed to bring down the axe. Abraham and Pavlik got the job done, why not Ward. This is boxing. The fans want blood and guts. If you don't give them what they want they will buy tickets to see street fighting in the cage. Ward is just one more reason that boxing is in decline.

Thing is I have noticed that people that were saying stuff like Ward isnt nothing, or he isnt a real talent, before the fight are the same ones saying that it was a bad fight. so in a sence it comes off as hating. It happens all the time. I not saying that your doing that, but I wonder what your thoughts were before the fight. Maybe I will check and see.:hey

If this was the worst fight of the year, it says a ton about how good '09 has been.

Except that wasn't the sweet science. The sweet science argument isn't even valid here.

No matter, it was a good fight. People just want to bash because it gets people riled up.

No morons like you are the reason that boxing is on the decline. You think that every fights has to end with a knockout or eles its boring...Let us not forget that Miranda killed the **** out of Abraham in the first fight had a bunch of points taken away, and some funny business after AA tried to quit. or I shoud say he did quit only to have the commission tell him he cant quit, or he would lose. Miranda also did very well vs Pavlik in what was a even fight at the time of the stoppage. Vs Ward he did NOTHING, he got outclassed. Its no slight on a fight that isnt a big puncher, some of the greatest fighters ever werent big punchers. Ever heard of Willie Pep??? What about Pernell Whitaker...

No what it is is that they hold another fighter at that weight in high reguards and holding true to form people seem to think that they have to bash any other fighter that shows good things in that weight..

I must admitt that I have some questions about Ward, and was of the mind set that Dirrell would be the better of the two, im not so sure anymore.

Why not? Ward's defense and timing was textbook. Slipping, sliding, ducking, using lateral movement. Textbook.

I cannot dispute this. I actually agree with you. Casual fans don't like to watch guys like Ward. But hey.. **** them.. I enjoyed it tonight.

Improved? He has gone backwards. He is in love with the right hand to the point of forsaking every other punch. He showed more than that in the past.

You left out elbowing, holding, and Hopkins style trench warfare.

Which actually, I liked seeing out of the kid.

About time one of these amateur stars made an effort to learn "dirty" pro tricks.

Hey I consider all of that the sweet science too. The guy absolutely schooled Miranda on the inside. And then he also outboxed him on the outside, timed him, countered him. I mean we all know Miranda was crude.. but the guy looked absolutely befuddled by Ward's movement

I know that it would be hard for a Pavlik fan to admitt, but maybe it was the guy that was across from him that made him look so bad. Its like Arum resently said about floyd, not matter who fights him they wont look good doing so, even if they managed to win. Ward is hard to hit, at one point he made Miranda do a 180 in ring, in fact he did it several times. Pavlik and AA stood in front and both guys are easy to hit. but even when Ward was in front of Miranda he still couldnt hit him.

But I Pavlik fan isnt going to see that, you only see that Miranda looked bad so it must because he sucks now, and was much better when he fought my guy.
