That is precisely the correct analysis. Miranda lost heart and gave
Ward the chance for a KO. The fact that he didn't take it says a lot about Ward's lack of interest in becoming a great champion and a box office star.

If we're throwing out worst fight candidates, I think it's my duty to mention Chambers-Peter.

    :huh

Or maybe it showed an understanding that the only way Miranda could win would be if he got sloppy, and that early in the fight punching with full power, he couldn't even wobble him.

If Ward "wasn't interested" in becoming a great champion, he could sit in a room and beat off looking at his gold medal every day. Let's not confuse a lack of power with a lack of interest.

I was there live and the crowd was into it.

Ward is a Boxer so dont expect him to stick his chin out there. He did what he had to do against a dangerous puncher.

Ward did the minimum he needed to do to win. The fans will remember that when it comes time to buy tickets for his next fight.

Dawson v Tarver was definitely worse and that fight was only a week ago.

It's threads like these that give the Classic Section guys ammo for taking shots at the General Forum.

The people that think this was a boring fight aren't really into the sport of boxing. My bet is that people who want to rag on this fight are really closet UFC fans that want blood and WWE style antics.

Ward put on an excellent showing of boxing ability - exactly as predicted by some.

Minimum???? Ward won 11 rounds to 1. The minimum would be him winning a close fight. :rofl

I did not like Ward's excessive holding. Why couldn't he stop Miranda like Pavlik and Abraham did?

After going back and looking at some of your past posts I see that you are a diehard Kessler fan, and as such you think and or have said bad **** about every fighter that is from 160 to 175. In other words you think that Kessler is a god of boxing and everyone eles is a joke(what you said about Dawson), is too slow(what you said about Pavlik), good only in his mind(what you said about Hopkins), a knockout waiting to happen(what you said about Froch).

So know that I know where you stand its pointless to discuss boxing with you any more.:hi:

ward tonight answer a lot of questions for me and i think he's pretty much the real deal, he has all the tools to become a great and complete fighter. Anyone who finds the fight boring or a failure needs to follow a different sport
