Ward Miranda ........worst fight of the year award?

    I guess Showtime could throw a lot of money at Froch, but I'm not sure Ward will be a big enough name yet for that.

    That is why he should have knocked out Miranda. Big money fights come after knockouts, not boring decisions. Ward only has himself to blame.

    In many ways it was a "true test" for both of them. Calzaghe had never met an opponent of Kessler's caliber who was still in his prime. Kessler was a rising star and he had to fight Calzaghe to establish himself as the true champion of the division. Kessler fought hard and well, and would have beaten anybody other than a superstar like Calzaghe.

    In Ward's career Miranda should have been a minor threshold point, not kissing and hugging contest for 12 rounds. If he can't devour a meathead like Miranda, he will be eaten for breakfast by Kessler.
