Ward needs to take a page out of Sergio's book and realise he's not a big draw

#2 P4P, unbeaten WBC/WBA SMW champion. You whine about the craziest things, but you are a hypocrite. When Calzaghe never left Whales you had nothing to say. So what if he likes to fight at home. Has far as I can see, he hasn't gained any dubious decisions from officiating like English fighters who like to fight in England and get help from the refs.
Stop whining about small things like an old woman.

:patsch First of all Froch is the reigning IBF and WBA champion you clown.

And you are totally wrong. Ask any Brit on here what is more of a big deal in this country- Froch v Ward which people aren't bothered about unless it takes place in the UK, or Groves v Froch II which will people have been buzzing about fsince there first fight. And being that Gorves- Froch will SELL OUT the arena, how's Ward going to sell more tickets.

And, if Ward is not motivated by money than why not accept the lower offer to have bigger fights?

And you say Ward is motivated by his legacy, well what big fights can he have with his demands other than against B-Level fighters? You can't become the best fighter in the world facing the likes of Rodriguez.

He can by fighting the likes of Golovkin, Stevenson, Kovalev etc but he is not offering them any incentive to fight him when they could make millions more elsewhere.

Hating aside, pretty much this. He seems to think he's a huge draw.

It would be like Sergio Martinez saying to Mayweather or Canelo, you come to Argentina and fight me. I get 80% of the money, I'm not going to 160 and drug testing is off the table.

You think those guys would accept- no. Neither will the guys Ward claims to be targeting.

The WBC champion is actually Saiko Bika.

The WBA champion is Carl Froch.

Ward was Super WBA champion but I believe he's lbeen stripped of that and it's on the line for Froch-Groves too.

The sanctioning bodies are businesses too. They earn more money the more a fight draws- Ward's fights don't draw ****, hence what this thread is about.

Ward is the WBC/WBA Super World SMW Champion. The IBF? Who cares.

Beating Froch again, and probably worst then their first fight does nothing for Ward's legacy. In their first fight, Ward already proved that Froch is a B level fighter. Froch has heart, but he is certainly not on Ward's level, and believe it or not, Ward is actually better now, then when Froch first meet him. A rematch with Froch would only be for money because the outcome is obvious. Same for Kessler.
Froch had to fight Kessler in a rematch to redeem himself, but in a rematch with Ward, he'd lose again, and likely worst then he did the first fight. That is why Froch and Hearns insist on a 50/50 split on some nonsense like that. Because they know the odds are that Froch will lose and his ratings as well.

GGG is not ready for Ward, and his people say that want no parts of Ward.
You believe that GGG is at Ward's level and you probably thought Bute was too.

Ward was already the ACKNOWLEDGED best SMW in the world BEFORE he fought Rodriguez. I wonder how Carl Froch woul fair against Rodriguez? Unlike Ward, who made it look easy, I believe Froch would have a tough fight on his hands.
At this point in time, Ward > Froch, in every respect. It doesn't matter if the fight were in England, or a Kessler rematch was in Denmark, neither have a chance of beating him. He is just on another level.

Wrong. The WBC Champ is Saiko Bika.

Ward has been stripped of the Super WBA hence why it is on the line in the Groves-Froch rematch:

http://boxrec.com/title_search.php?title=WBASUP&division=Super%20Middleweight&SUBMIT=Go

Therefore, Ward actually brings no titles to the party

Secondly, STOP GOING ON about whether or not Ward has or would beat these guys becuase here is the thing- I actually agree he would, but that is not what we are talking about.

But that's not what this thread is about.

We are talking about there being no give and take in the negotiations with Ward- that will stop him from getting big fights.

I want to see Ward in big fights, but the one stopping them from happening more than anybody else is Ward himself.

I don't think Ward fears these guys, just the way Ward thinks of himself- he is stopping the fights from happening.

Ward is still WBA Super Champ, Hans. Froch and Groves fought for, and are again fighting for the "WBA Unified Champ" belt as per the WBA website. Boxrec have it incorrectly listed.

And for the joke of a poster who still thinks Ward holds the WBC belt, welcome to 18 months ago pal.

 I must admit, other than the posts that claim Broner could beat Brook and Khan and Maidana in a rematch, and people that think he's great, this is the stupidest post I've read on here:

ward's style of fighting is not exciting enough to make him a draw.

what he needs is a rival in his division or take on an impossible fight, maybe jump up against stevenson or kovalev, then casual fans would take notice of him.

ward could also do it the floyd way, talk crazy/act crazy.

The problem with Ward jumping up to fight Stevenson is that Stevenson would beat seven shades of **** outta him.

He would beat the **** outta him.

Personality wise, Floyd and Ward are polar opposites. Ward is a smart guy, and I would be all over a vid of him trying to act gangsta. It'd be one of those cringeworthy vids where you can't stop looking... just can't. Captivates the mind.

For now we must deal with interviews where Ward says he needs to consult his pastor in order to make a decision in regards to retirement. Exciting stuff.

You think Ward is a draw?

4158 in attendance for the Rodriguez fight. Less HBO viewers than most "HBO guys" out there including Golovkin who's not even from the US.

You're in denial.
