Ward never beat a decent boxer on the road, while Usyk beat the top CWs in THEIR home countries

And Usyk used just boxing skills to win, not dodgy referees and judges and illegal tactics like head butts, arm-clamping, and low blows.

    Quite a contrast.

We all know Ward refused to fight outside the USA during the Super Six, although all the other participants did.

Usyk is a real champion. Ward has never been a TRUE champion to me, since he won't even try to beat anybody decent without his dirty tactics and corrupt home officials.

Ward couldnt go on the road and still expect to be allowed to cheat as much as he did. Take away his cheating and youve taken away 50% of what he did to get his victories. So he just threw his passport and atlas in the bin and stayed safe and sound in his local leisure centre.

Usyk put on a fine display today I’m not sure why you’re concerning yourself with a fighter that has since retired. Let’s enjoy what happened today and leave Ward out of your mouth, it honesty sounds pathetic that his dissection of other top fighters leaves you envious of his success. In a country of athletes that choose boxing as a last resort it still angers you that someone that doesn’t fit your personal phenotype has found success in a craft that represents a featured platform to showcase other countries athletic prowess. Get over it and show some respect to Usyk.

This is a constant theme here on this forum. This happens every time someone has a brilliant night inside the ring. Someone will always bring up a fighter who is completely irrelevant to the discussion. In most cases it´s a fighter who is popular to hate upon.
Ward is retired. He has nothing to do with Usyk or his career.

Ward was boring fighter and also dirty one and most likely on peds @175 and is also retired and i wonder what is the reason to bring him up all the time then ? Do you miss him or something ? No thanks for me.I dont wanna see him against Usyk or against Bellew or anyone at 175 also.Screw Ward.

Usyk not only fights on foreign soil regularly but is also not dirty fighter which should be important as well.

He's everything to do with Ward.

Last night Usyk put every single past and present, fraudulent belt holder who hold their titles hostage to shame.

Ward could have made better money elsewhere fighting Froch in the uk, and all he could do was make excuses.

When Usyk was asked to fight in Moscow his response was ''no problem''

    Now that's a real champion.

    Preach!

It’s incessant and childish....downright counter productive. Regression is something boxing should try to stay far away from but they continue feed anti boxing establishment with bitterness. I love this sport and I can’t accept unsubstantiated bashing of fighters that put forth all they have to entertain the masses. Constructive criticism comes with the territory, it’s a necessary evil however to completely dismiss Wards career because his style doesn’t tickle your fancy is just plain spiteful.

Ward is a dirty, cheating fighter, he doesn't deserve much respect.

 Stop grasping at straws. If you want to talk about Ward then go ahead, but dont drag Usyk into the conversation when they have nothing in common (unless you are to compare the tournaments).
    Same goes for Usyk.
They are basically from different eras. Usyks career was just kicking off(as he proved that he is elite among the pros as he was in the amateur ranks) when Ward's came to an end.
And there have been numerous champions who did not travel, it happens.

But lets not drag negativity into what has otherwise been an amazing run for Usyk. (Negativity being Ward and how easy it is to dislike him)

    Ahem..excuse me
Ward fought away from Oakland several times.

That's like Spongebob living out of the water.

Usyk only fought in other eastern European countries. Which even though ive never been to any nor know any people from those countries I'm sure they are pretty much all the same.

SOG had a bus pass. He is well traveled.

He also beat the following fighters in their primes: Froch, Abraham, Kessler, Green, Barrera and Dawson. Being a consensus 1-1 vs. Kovalev ain't that bad either. No1 in two divisions. No1 P4P. Gold medallist at Olympics. Unbeaten at the pros. That's ATG material.
