Ward no longer fighting on Sept. 28

    Seems like Andre Ward is no longer on the Sept 28 HBO show as a co-feature to Stevenson-Cloud. Ward wouldn't specify why but said its not due to his injury and that they are now looking at a later date to come back.

    Both Chavez and Rigendoux have been mentioned as replacement fights but everything is still up in the air on all of it.

    Thats what it looks like. HBO, rightfully, had no interest in the opponents Ward was trying to fight.

    Hopefully rigo gets on the card... I want to see more sweet science. But i thought he was on the pac rios undercard

    I know lol but the casuals didnt know who he was before the Donaire fight they need to see him when hes aggressive

    It seems like when Ward was off the date that HBO warmed up to Rigendoux and Top Rank wanted to match him against Chris Avalos.

    Then the Chavez fight got pushed back and HBO wanted to put him on instead of Rigendoux.

    Now HBO says Chavez isn't locked on that date and they aren't sure who will go on in place of Ward.

    Ward and Dirrell should fight, but with a clause that allows them to take off one month between rounds. Perhaps they could be inticed to have one fight a year that way.
