Maybe Hershman is pissed that he gave Ward a platform to build his name and then as soon as he got big Ward jumped ship to HBO.

Not surprising, the fighters he was trying to match hisself with where a joke. If he is the best in the division then fight the best not try and pass off some C level (at best fighters) as a respectable opponent.

He wants the money fights he has to travel to Europe simple as that, or he can stay in Oakland feeding off bums for peanuts and waste his career.

 

Serious question then,
Who should Ward fight, who will HBO approve?
A lot of people are already tied up. Dibella doesn't
want La bomba in with Ward yet. oothusien looked
horrible in what should've been a showcase fight.
Who else is there?

 

He could have just said to Kessler or Froch ok will fight you in your backyard. They would both be PPV fights on both sides of the pond and he would make more off either of those fights than he has his entire career to date.

The fighters he picked where not even top 15 ranked that is shocking.

 

I believe Kessler has no desire to fight Ward again. Ward already stated he
would fight Froch in the UK :huh

 

They want nothing to do with Ward on home turff. Especially Kessler.

 

If only Ward fought Bute when the time was right... things would've been much different if you think about it...

 

Ward did not outright say he will fight in the UK he said he would consider it for the right price. He has no heart for the big fights IMO he has 2 choices fight Froch or move up in weight. There is no challenge for him at SMW unless he waits around for the likes of Groves ect to mature.

 

Weird from HBO, one of those guys would have been fine for a tune up/stay busy sort of fight

If they wanna play it that way they should just wait for the winner of Froch-Groves or Cleverly-Kovalev.
