    From FraudHype:

"He was mentally beaten and physically broken down. That's never happened to him. He's going to have to mentally bounce back if there is a rematch, and I'm not sure he can."

Ward was gifted a decision, but now he's saying he mentally beat and physically broke Kovalev?

From what I see it's Ward doing all the talking trying to convince himself and fool the public.

Why would someone need to impose a different face on Ward if in reality kovalev beat up his face that badly?
It was a close fight and 117-110 Kovalev is a ridiculous score.
Can't believe this generation of sore losers..

Ward has always been an insecure fool. It's in his personality. You don't simply lose it when you get older, it stays with you forever. Look like Hopkins and him not giving Joe Smith any credit.

Ward is just not a likeable person. He got an early Christmas gift and he's constantly mouthing off about how he deserved it because he showed up.

Come on guys, we have to behave or he might retire!

“You guys saw my last fight,” Ward said. “I beat the guy that nobody said I could beat. So I just wanna, moving forward, I wanna act like we beat the guy that nobody said we could beat. As long as everybody acts like that, I think we should be fine.”

Can't we all just play along?

Ehh. That's more if a stretch than what Kovalev has done to Dan Duva's widow.

Not sure if I can truly disagree. Kovalev looked like he gave up and looked like a beaten man.

Hardly. Ward gamed him on strategy on the night but still ought to have been on the losing end of a 114-113 in which I can't find any more wiggle room for SOG.

It doesn't matter how Kovalev "looked", scoring RBR he did just enough (with the KD) to get the job done...and even without the KD should have retained with a draw.

Ward is pathetic. He was visibly pleasantly surprised when the 114-113 decision was announced and now talks as if he won a clear 118-110 type of fight.

Also LMAO at him claiming that no one thought he could beat Kovalev, he was the slight favorite going into the fight.

Thinking about it I actually hope he retires now, the LHW division will be better off without him stalling and postponing the rematch. It's a stacked division, it would be a shame if Ward keeps the belts hostage for too long.
