I'll 'fess up and thought that he would swerve Kovalev. But his confidence was such that he honestly believed he would run through Sergey. So, kudos to him for taking the fight in the first place.

But now I think that he's seen something that he doesn't like, and he's not very confident at all going into the rematch.

I don't think he'll run as he knows how to get the win against Kovalev,I think Ward surprised a lot of us for how he survived those early rounds when so many have given up against Kovalev?
I mean I'm not saying I like it as I can't think of any other current boxer being allowed to grapple for ten rounds without being warned and what's more being awarded points for it but that said Kovalev always knew what type of fight he was gonna be in with Ward and truth is when Ward got inside of SKs jab SK had no answers other than to head lock Ward and that's where he lost as the rounds seem to fly by,I expect Ward will rematch him and will start grappling from round one.
Not sure we can blame his faith for acting like a Giant Douche?
