Ward gets a free ride,I give him more credit for beating Barrera as he used his boxing skills,every time he steps up he looks to survive the whole fight by using a jab,clinch,wrestle knowing that if he's on his feet by the end the judges will bail him out,you could say it comes with the territory from being a gold medalist but let's not confuse that wrestling crap with schooling because when did schooling involve not hurting ones opponent?

When I was in Texas there was a fighter there, a world champion who REALLY lived that way. He'd go to the Childrens Hospital & sit & play with the kids for HOURS praying with them too. Very few people knew what he was doing only the kids & their families. Even most of the staff didn't know who he was those that did were sworn to secrecy. He didn't want publicity he did it out of love for kids. I'd lay odds he's still going there today just to put a smile on a kids face

I gave him 10 and 12. You could also give him 11 and nobody would make too much of a fuss about it. When I scored it I gave 5, 7, 8, 9 and 11 to Ward with 11 being a toss-up. 7-5 Kova + the KD.

I don't get why his attitude over shadows his accomplishments and ring-ability. The man moved up and got in the ring with Kovalev when a lot of people thought he wouldn't. They called him a coward.

You people see a coward and an *******. I see a man who took on his toughest challenged, faltered early but showed champion grit and worked for a decision. Here's a man who moved up in weight, took on the divisions best fighter, made in 12 rounds and made the fight close. That's impressive.
