That's my pick for this weekend, I know I am in the monority but I am sticking to it. Whats yours? :bbb I am a little Pacqued out right now, just too many Floyd vs. Pac conversations going on. We have 6 months to debate all of those details let's focus on the here and now. I think Ward can box his way to a very conservative decision win, not to much action, lot's of clinching and not many exchanges, Floyd-esque if you will.
i don't think this is out of the question at all. in polls that came out when the tourney was first announced i picked ward by UD (little american bias i'll admit). but he will have to clinch and stay away from kessler b/c ward doesnt have the firepower to keep kessler from coming forward i don't think.
I agree.........but Kessler can punch very well so we shall see. I don't think that Ward will be able to hurt Kessler upstarirs but Calzaghe buckled him when he pounded his body, so I expect that Andre will putting in his work to the body from the get.
yeah man, kess can bang and ward was hitting miranda all night and couldnt stop him so ward would be advised not to stand toe to toe w/ kess at all. ward can win. it would be ugly, but he can. he will either have to jump in get off and clinch or get out of kessler's range b/c if kess starts timing that 1-2 of his and can also start timing that uppercut...ward may be in trouble.
I don't know, I haven't seen enough of Ward to be able to judge, but I think this fella may know something that we don't. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVQukw8DkaY&feature=player_embedded[/ame]
This is a ridiculous prediction for two reasons. 1. Mikkel Kessler is the best boxer in the world, you have picked against him. 2. I suppose you have researched the three judges and have seen that two are corrupt Americanos, to have come to the conclusion of a SD?
I think Kessler's no-nonsense textbook approach will see him start to pick off and time Ward down the stretch, leading to either a late KO or a clear decision. I guess it depends on whether or not Ward has the mentality and heart to hold up.
I hope its not a split decision....that would mean that fight would have been so close that it could have easily gone the other way. Recipe for disaster. The cries of robbery and fix will be loud....warranted or not.
that's the general feeling, too me Kessler's approach is a little bit too predictable but we shall see
It really dosent matter how predictable his approach is, if the fighters he is facing has no answer for it. Wlad Klitchko is as predictable as they come, but nobody is good enough to do anything about it. Is Ward talented and experienced enough? I dont think so. Kessler UD for me.
China_hand_Joe where have you been? your predictions have been sorely missed. Would you please give an analysis of the Kessler Ward fight?
