How long does he get to decide if he wants to retire or rematch Kov like he should. I like Dre but he's acting like a straight b*tch and I don't appreciate that. Honor the rematch or give up the belts dont be no b*tch about it. He sounds like he's not going to be fighting till the back half of 2017 haha
The respect for Ward for fighting Kovalev was completely erased when he got the decision and it has been decreasing ever since. Obviously the contract can't force him to fight otherwise a date would have been made already.
He should be kidnapped and forced to train for the rematch immediately. There must be some deadline on that contract
Who is going to enforce the rules about a rematch?? There is no one with the authority. State Commissions change rules & ignore rule breakers & cheaters regularly to suit themselves $$$$$$$$$$ & Influence are the only rules these days fair play has long gone
When you dodge a Bullet Big time...going back is hard....I don't think Ward will be in a hurry for take 2....
Duva said she would force a rematch legally, go to court, Ward will have to give up the titles that were stolen by Ward's judges and run, he can be sued. Rematch will depend on the rules of the three boxing org.s..............SOB is a coward, he got beaten up pretty badly and knows he will be knocked out in a rematch......................SOB is a liar, cheat, a pure piece of fecal matter of the worst kind. Flush SOB down the toilet and back into the sewer from which he came!
"I really just got to take my time right now because I really don't have to fight anymore," he says. "I've accomplished pretty much everything that I've wanted to accomplish. It's not about the money anymore, it's just because god has blessed me to still have the ability to do it and I still love it. I just really got to take my time right now and make sure that every decision that I make and every fight that I take is the right situation because if it's not, I don't know if it makes sense to continue on."-Andre Ward
No one knows. As far as I know each contract is different so no one would know unless they have seen the contract
I dont get why he doesn't? Would have to satisfy his competitiveness Would satisfy his bank account (still one of the biggest fights he can do) Would satisfy the fans and boxing world Would put a stamp on their controversial rivalry And hes got to believe in his heart he will win the rematch? I mean... it makes no sense OTHER than him simply trying to leverage himself for all the money he can get by talking this way, but will eventually do the fight. But if hes being even halfway serious... then it probably really is time to retire.
Isn't his Roc Nation contract up? Maybe since the PPV #'s were low, this is a play to get more network money.
What I THINK is that Kovalev showed him something that he didn't like and that he knows he's going to be in trouble in a rematch. What I HOPE is that he's talking this way to try squeeze more money out of the deal and actually, secretly intends to go through with it.
