His wins are better than Cotto's, Martinez' , Sturm's and Kovalev's. _________________ He outdid (by much) other contemporary titlists at his own weight against mutual opponents. And consider this: ________________ 1. The guy that crushed an undefeated Kirkland . ______________________ 2. The guy that stopped an undefeated Lemieux and went the distance with Chavez Jr. and also stopped a guy that beat #1. __________________________ 3. The guy that outpointed both Sebastian Sylvester and Felix Sturm in Germany. __________________________ Neither of them guys was never stopped before and not after since GGG. _______________________

Ward worked his way up to the top five by beating top fighters not by knocking out journeymen like GGG sorry but thats not deserving of a top 5 spot !

This is more of a popularity move than anything !

Imagine how sh*t Ward's resume would've been if it wasn't for the Super6

Yeah, it's Dawson's fault for following the script. He should've just fought a LHW.
The fight wouldn't have happened at 175 or a catchweight.

    I'm fine with this

Ward sitting on the sidelines and Golovkin is creating a lot of buzz

Can't just be honorary pound for pound forever

All Ward really has over GGG is Froch. Which is a notable resume advantage to be sure, but... it was a long time ago now.

Kessler gets most of his stature with fans for beating Froch. Kessler-Ward was also one heck of an ugly fight. Abraham was in the middle of a big string of L's. Bika gave a good fight, and is about Geale level.

Wards S6 feats while good, have moved from good to legendary in some peoples minds due to time passing and no notable events in Wards career since.

Ward is a great fighter, but it makes no sense to keep rating him on mythical lists when he is so inactive. Hopefully this serves as a wake up call, and he does what he needs to do to get back in the ring.

    (1) Ward butted his way to judges' decisions (2) doing so against older men (3) in his hometown (and there was the older and drained Dawson too) _______________ (4) The journeymen Golovkin destroyed were the best in his weight class. Good enough for Martinez, Quillin and Sturm to either duck , lose, or be saved by the judges against. Superior h2h fighters in their (and Golovkin's) own division to Cotto and recent 2 years Martinez. ______________

Yeah yeah what ever his biggest names to date are Curtis Showtime Stevens and a guy who Almost and I mean almost beat Sergio Martinez .

And he never fought Sergio and has yet to fight Cotto ..So until that happens his current resume does not ******t a top 5 spot !

Ward's resume is far superior .. God forbid Martin Murray pulls off the upset ..I would love to revisit this .
