All 3 are better than kovalev and punch almost as hard, much stronger than skinny kovalev too. In fact artur punches even harder.
I cant stand kovalev, but kovalev is a whole level over those guys. At least now, or (if you prefer) at least just when he fought ward for the first time. They lack of too much experience, ward would easily win to any any of them. They have the talent to be insanely good, but they are not yet.
Kovalev was supposed to be a ice cold killer and was supposed to knock Ward out. There's always another boogeyman for haters latch on to since Kovalev wasn't up to the task. It never fails.
You are an idiot who gives the detractors of Golovkin, Kovalev, Usyk, Lomachenko etc. fuel for their hatred.
ward might come back and fight who ever emerges outta all of them. ward doesnt want to fight a fresh young fearless lion.
No ward retire because Garcia is going to 154, Ward is afraid Garcia might jump to his weight next...
he is doing what floyd did. let them fight each other and get old then come back and beat the last man standing while fresh from retirement and reinforced with PEDs plus bought ref and judges in home court. that's how they make money in boxing here.
I've never enjoyed Ward's dirty tricks but he's the best fighter of his generation above middleweight. He fought lions in their prime and came out on top. 33 is relative, he has a lot of hard fights under his belt. Really, outside of a showdown with Stevenson he has no reason to stick around. Besides, Stevenson will want no part of it especially since Kovalev now looks shopworn. He'll target that fight or possibly Alvarez for Canadian bragging rights. With all of that said, I don't disagree with the OP. Those 3 are straight killers. I'd pick Beterbiev against anyone in the division.
No, Ward likely retired over the lack of big money fights, that and Stevenson not being keen on the matchup. Grinding through the division for (deeper) legacy at the end of the day wouldn't be worth it. Honestly boxing isn't set up to reward fighters to do that.
