    He said if Canelo would have said he wanted to fight Ward after he beat Kovalev, Ward may have came out of retirement for that.

    Ward also said that he was considering coming back and fighting Anthony Joshua. And he ended his career as Gvozdyk, Beterbiev, and Bivol became forces in the division.

    Personally, I would like to see this happen, because Ward does not deserve a career as an undefeated professional boxer.

    LMFAO Ward making all his hangers-on believe :rolleyes: Although I don't doubt that he'd want the Canelo $$$ there's no way Canelo would fight in Oakland with Ward's uncle as referee. Canelo would come out with an XXL cup for that one

    Andre Ward retired and absolutely no one cared.

    He still can't get over that.

    I guess scoring your biggest win in your last fight via a low blow doesn't have quite the panache he thought it did.

    I remember Ward being interviewed by ESPN, dazn, & by the bscene for months only about the topic of facing AJ & he didn't even once bring up the want to face Canelo anytime,

    I knew the AJ fight won't materialize due to him just playing with the idea without him ever wanting to actually commit to the plan,

    Ward retired too early in general & one thing that a few noticed was how he threw constant sneak shots at European fighters & especially towards Canelo as for years he seemed to have something against him hording him & hoping anyone would beat him with his advice even though Canelo never once looked his way with any acknowledgement.

    I still think he is overrated as hell. Just cause he is American. The guy could box but was a protected home fighter, boring, a spoiler and dirty fighter. Retired way too soon and has one of the most cringeworthy nicknames in boxing. And his resume is weak.
    He gets hyped like he is Bhop, Floyd or RJJ when he is closer to Tim Bradley.
