I could see Hopkins trying to jump out the ring. or act as if he's getting fouled to get the ref to take a way a point. Hopkins only does this cheap stuff when he's in there with a guy he feels could beat him. He never does it when he's truly confident he's going to win.

I don't see this fight going well for The Executioner, if it ever does happen. If it does, it probably won't be his last fight. He'll definitely want to go out on a winning note. :^)

You are right, he has not needed to fight for years now. But it is interesting to see who the old fella can still beat.

For the record he wont be able to beat Ward...

Yup i mean hopkins has been wanted to fight dawson for years.......................................... Oh wait i forgot he avoided dawson for years. And then if hopkins really want a pascal rematch after a bs draw, he had no choice but only accept if hopkins had it in writing that he has to fight dawson next if he wins. <<<Again sad but true.

he will not fight Ward. The fact that Bernard and Floyd both are excelling at cherrypicking to stay relevant is making this era the cherrypicking era. Bernard is great because of his middleweight reign and the Tito fight at the end of all that. The stuff he is doing now is handpicking which keeps him relevant. The fact he has not been stopped is something great, but otherwise I think young fighters have to fight each other. This just shows that this era is not that great. Can you imagine a 48 year old man fighting in the era when Hagler,Hearns,Duran and Leonard were fighting? It wouldn't have happened. That was too good an era.

I don't think Hopkins would do well. I think Ward knocks him out. Ward is an A fighter with A speed. Hopkins is a smart man, he will not fight him.

Some of you guys are crazy....You wanna tap the nuts of guys like Ward and Bhop because they are looking at their boxing careers intelligently. They aren't ducking or avoiding anyone. They have options because they step and win. Andre needs a Hopkins on his resume more than a Dawson. Hopkins deserves to enjoy the luxury of choice at such an advanced age. And this would be a BIG event that you can bet do incredible numbers. Andre is young and is compared to Bhop all the time.....if he learns anything from Hopkins about longevity in this sport it woukd be to be smart and be patient.

Whoever thinks Ward walks through BHop doesn't know **** about boxing, has Ward faced a slick black fighter smarter than him in the ring before, and someone who who replicate his dirty tactics, the fight would be a toss up IMO, IDK why people tend to overrate Ward here, he's a good fighter in a weak division, nothing special though......................

I cant` see Hopkins beating Ward, Ward is right on the top of his game. Probably not a good fight for Ex. However, as we`ve learned anything is possible with Hopkins !Lots of risk with tons of reward ! His ATG ranking would skyrocket if he pulled it off. If he loses, story will be he should lose to one of the P4P kings right now. And he`d be very well compensated for it as well. But damn, Ward would be a tough nut to crack right now...It wouldn`t be very exciting, only for the true boxing purists ... he could always look around and go with the `right` opponent for the `right` $ He has earned it... I do think the fight would sell however, an all time great vs a current P4P fighter.

Who would pay to see Ward/Dawson 2 ?? I`d rather see him keep cleaning out the division he rules. I`d rather see a rematch with Froch than Dawson at 175...
