Ward looks stupid when we wants to fight 48 year old Hopkins!

hand was broken before the fight and he beat Carl so bad Carl had to fight a bum to get some confidence back . Froch is terrified of Ward

I'm a bit gutted with Ward after becoming a big convert.
He has the ability and style to outscore this Bernard without getting out of third gear in a stinker.
My worry is that if he says it enough, and we all say Bernard can't do it,
Bernard will try to prove us wrong.
Too much respect for both to want this fight.
Why didn't he fight Chad at 175?(sorry if it's been covered)

Anyone would want Hopkins on their resume.....especially when he has made significant historical accomplishments 3 times now.

The risk with Hopkins is ending up looking stupid. Losing to a smarter and much older fighter can hurt a young champions ego....look at Pavlik.

Bhops smart, he knows he can't beat Ward now. He only takes the fight if the money is right.

He took the money and fought Dawson twice knowing he could'nt beat him.

Conned the public taking a fake spill in fight one so that he could get paid again for a rematch.

Hopkins may be the GOAT at survival tactics. If he does'nt fake being injured in a Ward fight, I have no reason to doubt why Hopkins could'nt stall his way through 12 wrestling, clinchfest rounds against Ward.

.....in the process, every hardcore Hopkins fan on this board would call it a victory that Hopkins went the distance.:nut

You miss a lot of what Nard does inside the ring D....he doesn't have the most fan friendly style for the masses....but those appreciate the more technical and strategic elements of boxing, enjoy Bhops' performance against Cloud. Hopkins has had some boring fights but against Cloud, Hopkins conducted class and created a "must see" couse for any young boxer.

I respect the way Hopkins went about rendeing fighters like Pavlik and Tarver useless, but lets not pretend like he has an answer for every style.

Lets not pretend that he does'nt have trouble with speed and workrate and that quitting is not part of his mindset.

He's a great fighter, I'm not denying that, but imo on boards like this, to many overrate his work.

For his schoolings of fighters like Triniadad, Pavlik, and Tarver, lets not forget that Jones Jr., jermaine Taylor, Joe Calzaghe, and Chad Dawson are on his resume.

    Great fighter? Yes! Flaws? Absolutely!
