Ward shows his stuff: The next SMW King

To be fair, Allan Green looked completely unprepared and out of his depth and we don't really know what he had since most people assumed he was an unknown commodity that probably wasn't so hot because of the Miranda loss. Green was lunging wildly and didn't have his heart in the fight, he resigned himself to his fate early. I just have to equally emphasize Ward's great performance and Green's terrible one. He quit.

Andre Ward bullied Green, and I think Green assumed Ward would have a lot of respect for his punch, but Ward didn't. He went right after him, kept his hands moving and easily dominated Green. How much that means will remain to be seen, but he looked like dynamite.

It would have been an A+ performance if he'd:

knocked out Green
Green had actually made an effort to win

So, really it's a solid B performance. But Ward's obviously a very good fighter. Let's see if he does the job next time.
