I was wrong. Abraham didn't looked like he was motivated

Froch didn't need Dirrell's footwork he had a better substitute in his stiff jab. I have no idea if Abraham realized that he should have started early or risked more ...but he probably couldn't because Froch stiff jab didn't let him do it.

Then some I've changed my mind about it

    Wrong!!!
What fight were you watching? The First headbutt occured in round 10...by then it was already a complete shutout!!! Look, I get it. You just wanna suck Calzaghe's Dick...Fine!!! But you don't need to HATE on other fighters while doing so. In fact, I'm done talking to you. You are making NO sense!!!

Biased Silencer biased. For 1 Ward got hit far less than Calzaghe and won every miniute of every round, Kessler won about 4-5 rounds against Joe. The dominance was special, Calzaghe had a hard fight with Kessler. Ward was easily outboxing KEssler before the 'headbutts' too. The headbutt excuse is pretty overblown and simply seems like an excuse for fans of Kessler or haters of Ward, its his style to lead with the head and many fighters do the same. Was it deliberate? I'm not sure but many fighters in history bend the rules anyway

As for 'Kessler was carrying a serious eye impairment', no he wasn't that was after and because of this fight

It was a Calzaghe UD, but the OP is saying 'at least Joe didn't need hometown judges' ummm he did have home town judges because Bika deserved 4rounds and was only awarded 1 on the cards. And Calzaghe himself was made to look awkward, and yes Bika was rough housing him much like he did Ward.

Yeah. You should try to be hit with couple of headbutts and then go and fight someone... with bleeding from above both eyes just to see if it makes no difference.

Calzaghe got roughed up harder than Ward did. Thats what I said, and you seemed offended.

You look like the one who is getting hard ons on these Adameks and Calzaghe;s

    Be silent man.

Calzaghe had good footspeed, and fought Bika from the outside.

Ward, fought on the inside. They beat Bika in different ways.

    Nothing. Read below
14 losses 2 draws in his 40s G Johnson beat A Green by decisive KO whilst Ward had to go the full 12 for a shut out.
One thing many forget about when Calzaghe was beating guys like Bika is that Calzaghe had had a long career and was at the end of his rather than a fighter in his 20s, who is hopefully still fresh

    Styles make fights.

And I agree it dont mean ****, it was just a hit at the thread starter.

Mayorga whooped Vernon Forrest better than Mosley, (mosley got beats).
George Foreman whooped Frazier and Norton better than Ali.
Trinidad whooped Joppy harder than Hopkins did. And so on.

Calzaghe has a different style to Ward, Calzaghe was more elusive and used a high work rate.

Ward lunges in with his head mauls, if he is comfortable stays in the pocket, if he aint as confident moves back out.

So they would beat common opponents in different ways. Such as the Kessler fight for instance.

Yawn. When Ward beats AA then Froch(even though I want Froch to win) he surpasses Joke Coke Smoke and Mirrors Calslappy resume wise. All he will have to do is go undefeated by beating cab drivers for the rest of his career just like Joe to fully surpass him. Throw in Bute and it's really a done deal. I don't even like Ward but the hate makes me want to be a fan. And to the TS. It wasn't a head butt that beat Kessler. Watch the fight again . Kessler was beat in all departments.

More easily? Did you see Ward's face after the fight? hehe
BTW: The rounds were very close, the scoring made by the judges was BS.

joe was a great fighter- and had the personality and flair that seperates ATGs from Greats,
a shame he fought the big fights so late, otherwise he woudlve had an even greater following and legacy. imagine if he d fought roy when roy was in his prime at 175? joe wouldve been like oscar.

i think prime for prime , joe versus roy wouldve been a fight for hte ages. i think roy mightve won- but overcoming joes activity and awkward style wouldve made it interesting.

I think it fair play to take shots at Ward for headbutts, for his style(although vs Bika, Bika was just as much to blame for the style of that fight, people act like Bika was trying to box from a distance). Its fair to wonder why Ward has or will have the benefit of homefield during the tourney.

But to bring a comparison to Calzaghe into it is a little strange. Calzaghe did quite a bit of fighting in his venue of choice for a long, long time. Ward has done it for 2 tourney fights(so far) and 1 defense. Is there a comparison? I also find it odd the complaints about the officiating. I have yet to see a ridiculous, or even questionable stoppage, while there were at least a few on Calzaghe's ledger. And while the Ward's reckless head in the Kessler fight may have warranted a warning, Bika was even more aggressive inside than Ward IMO, so to me that was consensual relations by 2 willing adults(and seemed like it at times). The scorecards (especially 120-108) were too wide, but that also isn't exclusive to Ward.

It's sort of a glass house/stone throwing thing how I see it.
