Ward dominated and dropped Dawson 3 times throughout the fight to retain his WBA, WBC and ring SMW titles. Dawson didn't seem to have an answer to Wards sharp jabs and hooks.

I think Dawson didn't want to continue after the final knock down.

Ward landed 112 power shots to Dawson's 22.

S.O.G is one hell of a fighter. It will be a long time before anybody at SMW gets close.

Top performance by Ward but Dawson looked to be the definition of a weight drained fighter. Absolutely no energy or reflexes.

    Yep, Ward is the goods.
    He'll be P4P number 1 soon.

Impressive stuff. First 2 rounds were Chads but after that it was Ward. I thought the reach advantage would come into play but Wards skill is something else. He even roughed him up on the inside in clinches landing uppercuts at will. I expected a even fight going to the cards Ward is unbeatable at 168 or 175 IMO.

He won the first 2 rounds. He said in pre-fight interviews he felt great at the weight. Ward was just too good.

He can say whatever he wants. He's hardly going to say otherwise.

He might now though, it'll be a good excuse.

We'll have to see. He might not want to say much now. I like Ward and you can't question his level of competition. But Dawson looked flat as a tack. Ward's team played a master stroke at the negotiating table.

Far from it. I said in the first post it was a top performance.

watching him make Kessler look 2nd rate and go on to make the rest of the top 168 look the same was impressive, this man is something special, he has been virtually untroubled against the worlds best around his weight.

Ward is definitely something special but Dawson isn't a fighter. He gave up after the 3rd round. Abandoned the jab that won him the first two, I don't even think its about the weight its just that Dawson doesn't have the right mindset.

Dominant performance no doubt but Dawson was clearly weak at that weight.

Ward should fight Danny Green at 175 next.

Heresy, that would be Danny Geale after he wipes the floor with Martinez.
