:think Hhmmm.... Ward looked very "buffed" Saturday night and weighed 174 lbs. IMO if Ward beefs up to heavyweight 210 ++.... He would come into the ring looking like the Pillsbury Doughboy. Don't see this happening.
Not really? If you measure the distance covered by their punches I'm sure in a minute or so Ward would still do more.
Ward has T-Rex arms and Fury is a giant with massive reach, no doubt Fury moves much faster than given credit for ask Wlad. Ward reach = 71inches Fury=85inches
Anyone who thinks Ward would have a chance of beating 6'8" Fury needs to step away from their PC and take a nap. Even Hughie Fury would comfortably beat Ward. Ward may have a chance of beating a smaller, lighter heavyweight, like Haye (although I'd still fancy Haye to put his lights out) but he has no chance in hell against a super heavyweight. Get a grip.
You're assuming Ward would have a similar kind of mobility as a blown up HW that he had at SMW which he obviously wouldn't. There also isn't any point in bringing up the Pajkic fight as Fury has evolved greatly since then. Ward is much smaller than Cunningham, he might be able to do ok against small less talented HW like Glazkov. Fury's size and class would be too much for Ward and he'd be quickly worn down and knocked out.
Well if Ward said this he must be held accountable and it be brought into every post why he is ducking the heavyweights......
I don't see it either. Not even Cruiserweight. Unless he becomes lazy and puts weight on. The best thing for Ward is get back in the gym and get another fight asap.
I suppose Ward could do it, old Holyfield was outweighed by 100 pounds and was shorter by almost a foot against Valuev. He'd have to think outside the box, naw, I can't see it against these newer heavies who are way better than that transition period from the late 90's and the Klitschko dominated 2000's. If he wants to do it after dominating LHW, I'll watch.
