The tune up tour drags on A bum every two years gone Keeps the rust away Target a future day The king will return 10 tune ups strong To prove us all wrong Or so they say
A fight every 2 years Leaves us bored to tears When Ward gets KO'd (for the first time) They'll shoot the load that he wasn't prime
He had a surgery Too much inactivity Far too rusty If only Triple G Took 50/50 He would have been ready Surely
And will be ever fight A light heavyweight Or keep dragging Middles to catchweight This isn't fate Too little, too late
Now Ward is sliding back to obscurity, so he again needs to call out somebody who for sure can't fight him, like Haymon fighters or Froch.
I have an impression that after two "tune-ups" Ward will change his mind about moving up and will want Kovalev to come down to 168. boxing scene.com/andre-ward-they-pressure-me-move-up-not-others--97862?
Ward's body is atrophying and he is becoming decrepit. I guess that's what happens when you sit on your ass for years on end announcing fights rather than fight the fights.
