So, tell me.. those of you who frequented this forum as the tournament was to start, the idea were to have a round robin of six individuals.. on fair terms.

With Andre Ward having all his three fights back in Oakland, Oracle Arena to be exact.. is there any form of fairness to this?

And as we know, the points gathered from the group stages aren't only for advancing, they're for location advantage aswell. So with him having fought all three group stage fights on home turf, what are the odds of him having the semi final and inevitably the final in Oracle Arena?

Im a fan of Andre Ward, but this is an inescapeable fact, Showtime is treating him with unfair bias.
Say he fought Froch or Abraham next, the fans should demand this to take place in Germany or Nottingham.

he's the best fighter in the tournament AND he has home advantage so yea he's gonna be tough to beat.

With all fights thus far ending up in favor of the fighter on home turf, saying he's simply the best fighter in the tournament is also debatable. He schooled Kessler, but who's to say Abraham wouldn't knock Kessler out in Germany? Or who is to say Kessler wouldn't lose in Nottingham to Froch?

Fans should stand up to the bias, and demand Andre Ward to fight on away turf, AT LEAST ONCE during the tournament.

Considering that, when Froch and Abraham had issues over home-turf advantage, they sat down and worked out acceptable 'neutral ground', even though it effectively meant that they'd both be fighting 'away' for the second time in a row, Ward's lack of heart for adventure is pretty damning.

it takes two to tango. For all we know, Dirrell didn't want "neutral ground"

People keep forgetting that Ward won a gold medal in Athens. It's not like he's never traveled.

    "Lack of heart for adventure"??

He signed on to fight 5 of the best SMWs in the world when he had only 19 pro fights.

First of all the first fight Ward got the home town fight the second fight he fought a repacement in Green. He has no real fan base so back to where they can make some money, Oakland!!!!! Now with another replacement fighter where do you think is should be held? I think you should find something of worth to complain about, like if Ward demands the home town advantage against Froch or Abrams in the finals.

Agreed. He's an excellent fighter but the whole "only fight in Oakland" thing is old. And it's not fair to other boxers in the tournament.
