:thumbsup Would love to see Ward-Pascal as the co-feature to Cotto-Canelo (even though I won't be buying it regardless). :smoke
You can. whine all you want Ward is proven and battle tested !, the minute Bute stepped what happened ? Let me know when he beats an elite level fighter like Ward has than you can talk :hi: Ward doesn't fear snakes but we know Bute still has nightmares of Cobras
And to think that plum would've likely made Ward a PPV fighter. The one guy left in that division that had a belt, a name, and fans was actually willing to take a paycut to go to Oakland. Total unification in his grasp. Winky would be proud of that career self-flagellation. Passing on that fight was like telling the last unicorn it was worthless because it didn't **** gold.
GGG will make way more mone fighting the Cotto-Canelo winner so Ward wont be able to get him till next summer. I think Ward is gonna sign deal
One thing I think you're missing here Rock, is that Ward's people and almost everyone else in the boxing world assumed Bute would beat Froch, which would have made Ward-Bute an even bigger event. I always knew Bute was no match for Froch, but most people viewed Bute as something special for whatever reason. Had Bute beaten Froch, a bout between Ward and Bute would have been huge and inevitable. The problem was, Bute was exposed as being a few levels below how he was commonly perceived. Ward DID drop the ball, because Bute would have been easy pickings for him, but it was a miscalculated gamble. It happens. It's similar to when Roy got blasted away by Green and Pacquiao was KTFO by JMM :smoke
Absolutely not. I wouldn't bring it up if Andre himself didn't lament that he's not a PPV fighter. Andre wants to be a PPV fighter and PPV headliner. That's why him pole axing that goal himself is worth pointing out in the first place. If that's not what he wanted, then it's a non-issue. When he was on the precipice of becoming exactly that, he took an attitude like he already was there, and it killed his momentum. That's what's frustrating.
