It was Froch that could not handle Ward on the inside..? With all the rough tactics, so i don't know what esle Froch can do.

I think Dawson beats Ward anyway!!

The issue is that a young, American fighter has cleaned out 168 and is now taking on a prime fighter who shows up on a lot of P4P lists. Lots of nuthuggers are really insecure about this.

Happens to all fighters when they do well.
Ward is probably my favourite boxer. I wouldnt say he cleaned out the division because it happend around him, though he did beat the top man in Kessler and the rest happend.
He is involved in a match up now that gets the public talking and had nowhere else to go. Dawson was willing to drop down which was good for Ward as there isnt much else at SMW

I'll concede that he should have beaten Bute directly to really get "cleaned out the division" honors. But, beating Kessler and Froch clearly established him as the number 1.

The last time we had an undefeated 168 champ, we had two. And neither was American or did much internationally until one was ready to cash out against some fossils.

Pacquiao demands his opponent's belt in addition to draining him. Well that and Ward's opponent actually proposed the weight.

    That's the difference.

So you would've been ok with Ward fighting for the lhw belt at 170 pounds?

Dawson insists that he won't have any problems making weight. He also said that he feels 168 is a more natural weight for him than 175.

"Training is going good. I am already down to 178 pounds. 175 isn't my real weight. I don't have to diet to make weight. I would come into training camp at 185 pounds without having to diet or anything. I didn't have to watch what I ate. Now I eat smaller portions. Before I would eat steak and potatoes. I feel faster and stronger at this weight," Dawson explained.

Here, from Dawson himself. Now you guys can STFU.

Exactly what advantage is there if the weight drop doesn't bother the other fighter?

How do you know? Because Dawson says so.

Dropping a weight you haven't fought at in years is more difficult than fighting at your natural, PRIME weight.

Which is why I laugh when they call Dawson prime....he's prime at 175, not ****ing 168 :patsch

i remember Chad calling him out and he said we could do it at 168

So don't go hating on Andre he accepted the challenge of one of the most talented fighters in the world so what if its in Oakland they trying to get a big gate Chad nor Ward are stars, so they cant take this **** to Vegas

I heard the ball room was empty for Hopkins Vs. Dawson in AC and Bernard at least is a recognizable name to casual fans so the money was west coast sucks for Dawson

    but that's the reality

Yes, because he said so. You do know we are talking about a boxer TALKING ABOUT HIS OWN CONDITION right? :huh

So you're "blanket opinion" on moving down supersedes what he says about himself? Ego much? PRIME isn't something that is the same for all, there's no formula to it. It's different for virtually everyone.

And since you like to ask HOW DOES HE KNOW, well, how do YOU know it's a detriment? Because it's like that for some other boxers? :patsch
