Because he's the most overrated fighter of the last 30 years, ducked Bute disgracefully, had the easiest super 6 run and won't fight outside of his back garden. ****** and he's boring as **** he's like watching paint dry

Kessler + Froch = Easy:patsch Abraham was rated higher than Ward at the beginning of the tournament.

I bet you are a fan of Stay At Home Joe, though.

I believe he is more comfortable weighing in at 168 so that's the weight he chooses to fight at.. If he were to fight anyone other than Dawson I believe he'd fight at 168, so if Dawson wanted the fight he'd have to weigh in the same as everyone else wanting to fight Ward.

I have nothing to base the stress of cutting 2 extra pounds has on Ward, because I've not heard anything about weight from his camp. On the other hand, Pacquiao's camp have mentioned what he has to eat to fight at 147, and he's more of a natural lightweight. Just slight differences I see, but this thread isn't about that so I'll move off it. :thumbsup

Pac is consistent, since Cotto he's a full time welter who dipped his toes at 150 and found 147 was his limit. As a Pac fan, that "sww" belt is as bogus as DLH's 160 belt. He's willing to give a few lbs either way, JMM and Cotto 2, but if the opponent can do 147, that's his preference.

wtf? Manny ask for catch weights with the sole intent to have people weight drained. Ward got called out by the bigger guy that said he could make the weight fine. Its not even close to being the same

It's fine. Dawson will beat Ward at Ward's weight.

I hope Dawson's improves his left hand, he didn't use his left hand that much against Hopkins.

I see people are comparing Ward to Pacquiao now... saying it's the exact same thing... after I made a thread showing you people specifically why it is not lol. A thread in which most of the responses consisted of "No one on here compares them" Lol yea ****in right.

I have a degree of respect for Ward. He was the deserved winner of the S6 and seems like a decent guy if you can ignore the god ****. Him fighting all of his S6 fights in the states left a bitter taste though. He also keeps fighting guys I like; Kessler, Froch and now Dawson. If he beats Dawson, who next? Khan? Mayweather? A Klitschko? My brother, my dad? On a long enough timescale, it#s inevitable :-(

Of course it's not the same thing, Pac went up in weight 6 times before asking for his first cw. Ward wasn't willing to go up to his second to make this next fight much more meaningful. Cotto had to lose 1 lb vs his previous fight, and was a titlist at 140. Dawson hasn't competed at 168 in 6 years, and had never contended at 168.
