    What the **** IS a cherry pick? Does it not mean fighting a guy at the right time etc.? Not just fighting some guy who is ten levels below him? Surely that's just...****?

    Never heard of him, but just found the dude on Boxrec.

    Only eight of his nineteen previous opponents have a winning record.

    Combined, they have a winning record of 43 %.

    ( 168 - 200 - 17 )

    Boxrec ranks him 29th at 168 lbs.


    They have no mention of him facing Andre, just a TBA on November 21.

    Even if it IS Andre on Nov 21, the SOG will have gone more than two years without defending his SMW title.

    Yeah, it's a bad opponent. If Ward was going to face guys like Rupert and Smith, he should have done so and fought 4 or 5 times this year against those types of opponents just for activity's sake.

    But if this happens, while disappointing, it's still better than the alternative, which would have been to sit out the remainder of the year.
